Can’t copy from the App

Mariko. N on

I hoped to copy the meaning of a phrasal verb and paste it to my Anki card, but it didn’t let me do. And also, when I was checking the recent history of what I looked up so far for my review, it just cleared all the history records even though I didn’t click the clear button or anything. If that function doesn’t work properly, this App is not so useful for me since if I just want to look up some words, I can use an online dictionary such as Idioms and Slang Dictionary, which shows far more phrasal verbs and idioms… I’m giving three stars because overall it’s easy to use and understand.

I have found this app very handy, but as good as it is, it suffers from missing entries. "As the crow flies," is quite common, as is "In a beeline," but neither of these are in this dictionary. I'm hopeful more entries will be added in future updates.

Not recommended now that the random button has been taken out.

Random idiom button, please

Valentin Sergief on

This book-turned-app contains an astonishing number of idioms and phrasal verbs, many of which are pure fun—but ironically, there is no easy way to go about exploring them in no particular order: the requisite button is missing. If you, my dear developers, have not forsaken your existing customers—who, by he way, forked out an exorbitant $24.99 for this unpolished app out of their sheer love of language—please see to it that a random entry button comes with the next update. Full Retina support—or at least a high-resolution icon—would be more than welcome. So it's only natural that I'll be waiting for a new version.
