This app is terrible. I can't get schedules working despite an hour of trying
Love my new high efficiency variable speed heat pump from AS. However, I wish this app had all the features I can see in the App Store and the documentation. Many of them are missing for me, and when I asked support why, they said it's because I have a very new thermostat model and they haven't added support for all of those features to the app yet. I hope things like usage tracking come soon and this app becomes as intuitive to use as my Nest was.
Just had my new HVAC installed yesterday and had to change to a new thermostat that uses this app (Link UX360 from my beloved Nest.) I find the app functionality to be limited, and I am unable to program the schedule from the app. Although the thermostat has a scheduled that I programmed, attempting to access the schedule from the app constantly throws the message: Failed to load the thermostat's active schedule. Do you want to start with a default schedule?
I bought a house with an American standard WiFi thermostat and it won’t let me link it because it’s already linked to the prior owner and there is no way to reset it without calling them. Every other thermostat has a reset button this is so complicated for no reason.
Not sure what I could criticize app for that is not my own fault. Would like a bit clearer scheduler.
This app only permits one schedule at a time. There needs to be a way to save multiple schedules and easily jump from one to the other.
Why do you not have apple watch support?
the app works well some of the time. in order to use the app you have to remember 2 different formats as the thermostat, it’s features, and settings are in different locations and appear different than the app. with that said i find myself relying on the app to make changes rather than the thermostat as the app is more direct. not all features and settings are available on both either which is not good. some settings can only be set from the thermostat and some only from the app. for as complex as they have insisted they make this unit, more thought should have been placed in the app. lastly there has not been a refresh in the apps layout in the 4 years i have used it.
Another one not working after less than 2 years. The thermostat is great when it works.
