Amie - Todos, email, calendar

Would be the best calendar app by far and would get much more attention and a lot more customers if they lowered their prices and had an all time offer to buy a licence once without having to get a subscription.

Cette application d’agenda est presque parfaite et se rapproche le plus de ce que je recherche mais il me manque encore certaines choses pour que j’en fasse mon agenda principal : - Une traduction en français. - L’intégration des calendriers et rappels Apple (ça doit logiquement arriver sur iOS mais l’attente est longue). - Une application pour iPad. - Des intégrations à des services comme Trakt pour afficher les films et séries visionnés. Apple Music (comme avec Spotify). - Pouvoir se connecter à autre chose que Google (support du Cardav ou connexion avec Fastmail et autres services. - Ajouter un système de note ou journaling qui s’intègre dans l’agenda. - Pouvoir intégrer des photos, vidéos ou pièces jointes dans les entrées agenda et tâches.

This application has huge potential and is already very fluid and pleasant to use. Here are the requests I have to make after 2 days of use: -Review the reminder/notification menu for a calendar event: reminders for several days/weeks in advance should be possible without having to scroll endlessly. -A view of the whole week or at least 3 days should be added and visible with the screen in portrait mode (vertical). You shouldn't need to tilt the phone to see the whole week, Google Calendar does that pretty well. -In my opinion, in addition to the duration of the event, the start and end times should be displayed in the general view of the day. Because we often have events of short duration and it's not easy to see exactly when they start without having to click on them. I really like the fact that the duration is displayed and clearly visible. -Make it possible to be notified/reminded of the end of an event to prevent us from getting distracted or forgetting to move on to something else. For example, a reminder option 5 minutes before the end of an event. -Possibility of assigning a priority index to tasks and classifying them by priority. -Ability to add tags to tasks -You can add a deadline to a task, as well as several reminders. Ability to add location-based reminders for tasks and events -I have no idea if this is what you intend to do with this wonderful application, but I'd like to put forward the idea of integrating a habit tracker to which you could add sub-steps for each habit. Adding descriptions and maybe quotes that could be shown in the reminders for each habits could be great. On a purely personal level, I'd be much more inclined to pay for this application with a one-off payment for life, even if it is expensive. I'd at least like to know if student prices are available for the subscription. -I don't know if the timers available with the Pro version are connected to Apple Health but it would be good to be able to track concentration time. Lastly, Amie really has the potential to be the best all-in-one app out there. It may be better than TickTick, which for me is the most complete application of its kind at the moment, but it lacks the pure calendar aspect that you offer, as well as the e-mail aspect. Their calendar mode doesn't allow you to add events, only tasks. On top of that, Amie is much smoother and has a way better UI to me. Thank you very much and I hope you'll consider some of these changes.

I’ve tried almost all the current day planners that are good for personal use (as opposed to ones geared for teams) and I really like Amie. Fun details, enjoyable UI on both desktop/web and mobile(they clearly took a lesson from Things). REALLY needs iPad and Apple Watch versions. Everything is fast and fluid, but bugs persist. When I reschedule tasks dates will change back. Sometimes the Today list will show 0 tasks when there are tasks. Room to improve but I’m hopeful.

A big requirement I have out of my calendar app is a nice home screen widget, and was a big reason I chose Amie. With a forced update they have removed this feature (perhaps moved it to paid?) and consequently lost a user. Great looking but sometimes odd to use UI, sometimes slow interfacing, and a mediocre product.

I just think there’s a few things missing here and there but overall has a lot that has me sticking around for now with the free version. I’m not much of a planner. I do however have an iPad I’d like to use this on that I can’t. I feel like that’s a big part of this for accessibility for planning having it on a bigger screen like an iPad. Other connects would be nice not to rely on google calendar. Maybe I’m new but I wish it was easier to make events on mobile . I often have to make a task then make it an event.

I love the app and how it’s designed and runs. I do have a problem with not being able to change the color of events connected to one particular email. Once that it fixed that will bump it up a star. So on to the changes or add. One is how to add custom alert for events. It’s so annoying to do it on the iPhone. It takes me way to long to make an a 1 day before event alert than it should. The wheel or whatever you want to call it is just bad in my opinion. Nice that it’s there but there are better ways to do it. I would also have the ability to use it in landscape mode. Sometimes I just like to use it in that mode. I know the repeat event is coming soon to iPhone app but it’s still not here and that’s a big usage for me and probably many others. So I would get that done asap. One last thing I would add is the ability to add travel time to an event. I like to know how long it usually takes me to get to an event so I know when I should leave. Also it lets me know when I should be ending other events and when not to make events so I’m not late for the event. Add/make all of these changes and have my one email work like it supposed to and this app will be a 5/5 for me.
