Anagram Solver - Crosswords

Have been playing this for year at the very least 13 yrs, probably more. Very good for your memory and a calming effect.will be playing it for many more years.

An excellent and versatile app. Suggestion: an additional filter to exclude a specific prefix or suffix.

Used every day and never let me down with crosswords.

This used to be a great app. No longer. It no longer gives all the words especially the most common words. Really disappointed!

Hi Thanks for this Anagram Solver tool, very impressive. Of course, for Wordle, it is already pretty good, Im not complaining! Especially the ability to edit the initial pattern at the bottom of the Filters page, so you DONT lose all your Filters. Im wondering if there are some minor additions you were thinking about, that would suit Wordle lookups even more? eg Asking for words that do NOT start with A. Currently the Prefix function (word begins with…) is good for that, BUT could we have a ‘Word DOESNT begin with? Same for Suffix, of course. Sometimes you know eg that A cannot be the first letter since it was Yellow in that spot. How could I indicate the opposite of Prefix = A? Could we use a minus, like a Google search, eg Prefix = -A? Not sure how you would address the other 3 spots for 5 letter Wordles. Eg A cant be in spot 2, but is somewhere in the word? This might be a little more complex. At least first and last letter exclusion searches might be easier to add as a feature. Then adding the code to actually DO the job would be fun, but that is YOUR challenge! Cheers, Barney

I have been using the fantastic word puzzle app Knotwords. Using Anagram Solver in slide over mode is the perfect companion app. The ability to use regular expressions helps narrow down possible solutions. Thanks for a great, very versatile app.

I have been a cryptic crossword devotee for many years and occasionally get stuck. This site puts me ‘out of my misery’ with suggestions for solutions. An added bonus is the ready reference to definitions. Great site! Peter
