9/19/24: App is freezing/crashing again. I just emailed a video illustrating the problem to support. Unlike in the past, when it take days, I received a response within a few hours saying that I should delete and reinstall the app. That worked, as it always does. I asked why this happens at least once or twice per month and did not hear back. In the nearly 20 years I’ve used this app (daily), I never had to delete/reinstall until the last year or two. What changed??? 9/4/24 Reply to developer’s reply: The only reason I stopped working with your team to illustrate the problem is because I was asked to wait 3+ days for someone to review it… and that was only after a month of back-and-forth me sending videos and screenshots and everything I was asked. Because the issue involves the app crashing and not working, that would mean no access for days. Since this is a productivity app that I use daily, I can’t go that long without a resolution when I know deleting and reinstalling the app will fix it. If Anydo wants to fix this known and recurring problem, perhaps they would be interested in making it a priority to resolve the next time it crashes. Let me know if you are willing and interested in doing that for a non-paid subscriber. 8/28/24: started freezing/crashing this morning. After a few hours, had to delete and reinstall. 8/19/24: Still freezes and crashes at least once per month on average. Only way to fix is to delete and reinstall. This is routine over the last year or so. Never did that the prior 15 years. Note that I only use the free mobile app version on an iPhone. Hopefully paid subscribers don’t have this problem. Review-2023: I have used this app daily since 2007, I think. After 15 years, I can honestly say it is no longer a simple and reliable tool for productivity. In the last year or so, approximately 1-5 times per month, the app freezes or crashes and has be deleted and reinstalled. When this first started, I pointed out the the constant freezing and crashing issue on the app, and they wanted me to somehow show them with the app was doing wrong, but it’s really hard to show that when it just happens out of the blue and all of a sudden crashes. That’s not something that can be easily recorded via video. I wasn’t interested in discontinuing use of the app for days while they take their time to look into the issue. It wasn’t until weeks after first reporting the bug that they finally admitted there was an issue… But mostly I just got a “thanks fo
Any Do really helps me
I paid for premium and has not upgraded. And will not upgrade. There’s no one to chat with about the issue. There’s no phone number to dial customer service. And after submitting a complaint, I have to wait one or two days for a response. Unacceptable.
This app and auto billing is deceptive…consumers BEWARE!!
You get a daily notification in the morning but when you tap on it, the “upgrade” screen asks you to pay money. So either app has been buggy for long time and nobody bothered to fix it. Or, the simplest feature that like “moment” that this app can offer is kept behind a pay wall. Either way don’t consider it unless you wanna pay.
Schedule for 10/5 with nicely nails
Just downloaded the app ~30min ago. It’s already heading to the bin. A star given for the overall first impression of the interface. In many ways it borrows or models itself after Apple’s own native apps, which IMHO is terrific. However, 3 stars off bc Anydo ultimately failed to meet a couple minimal expectations: 1) INCONSISTENT FONT SIZE. I have good vision but the font type and size in the app are inconsistent. Some places have mouse-font that can barely be seen. (I expect this for certain calendar views but not anywhere else.) Can’t find app specific controls to adjust this. 2) CAN’T FIND CONTROLS TO DELETE INDIVIDUAL LIST ITEMS. I know they’re in there somewhere but even using Anydo FAQ, can’t find it. For example, building a grocery list adding items works much like Apple’s Reminder app which, again, terrific. However deleting individual items from that list is challenging. I can only find controls to delete the entire grocery list. Swiping, press/hold nor any menu I could find has worked. I now realize the same is true on other lists. Perhaps my growing frustration blinded me from seeing the obvious but that is EXACTLY why I’m considering deleting the app. I don’t want an app that drains my time and energy figuring out how to do easy things. I want to get in/out of the app quickly. I don’t want list making to become another time draining task that gets in the way of actually doing. If deleting a grocery list item turned into a 30min speed bump, what happens if I try to use Anydo for something important? Shame. The initial impression showed such promise…That all said, Anydo has stood the test of time and has many devoted followers. That’s a HUGE accomplishment. For that, I give a second star out of respect.
Didn’t want to pay for premium because I wouldn’t use any of the premium features. As soon as I dismissed it, it keeps showing the stupid ad in the bottom left corner.
Been using this app for a decade now. It keeps getting better. Unbelievable.
