Description

This app was developed by the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) and funded in part by an unrestricted educational grant from Sage Therapeutics, as a tool to help ob-gyn learners as they consider screening and treatment for depression related to pregnancy. Validated assessment tools and other resources teach learners how to determine if their patient is at risk for depression; how to screen for and diagnose it; and, if the patient screens positive, suggestions for management. All health and health-related information contained within the WellMom app is designed to be general in nature and based on published guidelines.

Learning Objectives:

After completing the exercises in this app, the user will be able to:

1. Determine if a pregnant patient is at risk for depression;
2. Screen for and diagnose it, and;
3. Suggest options for management in women who screen positive.
