Is 2024 and does not work with iPhone and iPads with USB-C connectors! This is useless for me having iPhone 15 and iPad Pro.
Please fix this. It’s a paid subscription. Was great. Used it all the time, now unusable after updating cameras to V5 software. No warning. Connects but wont transfer images.
This looks like a good start but could use more polish. Works with my z8 and a usb to usb cable on my iPhone 15 pro.
Nikon Z9 - 4.1, iPad mini 6 - 17.1.1, using a standard Uber C cable, them pictures (jpg) load pretty fast, my issues: 1. Pictures taken in portrait orientation (horizontal 9x16), are displayed in landscape orientation (16x9) 1A. When those same pictures are saved or transferred via airdrop, the orientation is fix and properly displayed in portrait. 2. Pictures geolocation are not being transferred.
I recently upgraded from 14 pro to 15 pro max. Plugged stock usb-c cable into both camera and phone and connection worked! It even worked when camera was connected through the hub. Minus one star for these reasons: 1. Syncing photos seems slow. It takes about 5 seconds per picture which is RAW and about 30M. I checked the specs on D780 ports: it is 3.1 Gen 1 which should push up to 5gbps, iPhone 15 pro supports up to 10gbps. So something is up here. 2. Apps must be opened for stanching to continue. When app is minimized the synching stops and connection breaks. I have to power off camera to restart. Not a big issue but not expected. Otherwise I’m excited!
Could not get photos to import anywhere off this app. Very frustrating. Don’t buy this.
When I tried to use USB C iPad with my USB C equipped Z7II I got the message that it would not work. It would have been a lot more appropriate to warn me before I bought a new cable and installed the app
Managing Settings on Z9 and Z8 requires a memory card, Firmware 4.0 for Z9 includes a new capability to allow users manage settings files using NX MobileAir. This allows users to use the same settings on multiple cameras of the same type. “Settings saved using [Save/load menu settings] in the camera setup menu can be imported to NX MobileAir. Once imported, settings can be exported to other smart devices or cameras.” Unfortunately, per the Nikon documentation this feature is NOT available on the iOS version.
The only cable listed for this app to work on iOS, Anker 514 Lightning to USB-C Accessory Cable(Y2361), has been discontinued by Anker and they don’t have any compatible replacements. It’s also not available to purchase on Amazon and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere else. I haven’t been able to find any USB-C to Lightning cable that allows my phone to connect to my camera through the app.
