“烟台苹果”APP将根据苹果生长情况的关键期，明确各期农作的具体事务。苹果采摘后，该平台根据苹果的果径、色泽、果面缺陷等，以数字化方式将苹果标准统一起来，让烟台苹果品牌更具含金量。
通过“烟台苹果”APP，可打破供销信息不对称、取消中间环节、降低销售成本，拓宽苹果销售渠道，规避苹果销售信息不对称、买卖双方不信任等问题。该平台还实现了苹果溯源至果农、经销商，让消费者更安心。
智能仓储方面，该平台设计了电子台账，配备智慧秤，帮助冷风库加强仓储管理，实现智能仓储;在种植基地、示范库中加装感应装置，通过互联网+物联网有机结合，实时反馈数据，对异常情况进行预警。
