Clock Wave FAQ

Clock Wave is not free (it costs 1.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Clock Wave legit?
🤔 The Clock Wave app seems decent. It has room for improvement but generally satisfies users.
Extremely useful app that works with Citizen and Casio watches.
I recently bought a Citizen AT8060-50E, but unfortunately, my watch struggled to receive the signal from Germany. I found this app and could see it had been updated regularly since its release, and was last updated 8 months ago, so I decided to take a chance, as it was only £1.79 I would lose if it didn’t work. I left the app with the auto settings it had, turned the volume to full on my iPhone, and put my watch in manual search, and put it roughly 2 inches from my iPhone speaker and pressed ‘Transmit’ on the app screen. There is an arrow at the top of the app screen to show where to put your watch. The app quickly started transmitting the signal to my watch, and I could hear clicks and pops whilst it was transmitting. It is important that you do this in a quiet room with no background noise. After 7 to 9 minutes, I noticed my watch had stopped looking for a signal and was displaying the correct time. It had worked… and I was well chuffed!
In the settings in ‘Clock Wave’ you can choose any signal transmitter, and you can choose a custom time zone, or just leave everything in auto settings. It also works for Casio watches, because it includes the signal for the UK transmitter MSF, Anthorn, Cumbria, UK, that is used with Casio Multi-Band 6 watches. The nearest transmitter for Citizen watches in the UK, is the transmitter DCF77, which is in Mainflingen, Germany. If you have found this app and are reading the reviews, I strongly recommend that you buy it and follow the instructions. It really does work, and It also works if you are in an area that doesn’t receive the Atomic time signal from the transmitter.
Works a charm, no idea how !
I have a Citizen Skyhawk Atomic watch, a great watch but the reception of the time signal is not reliable where I live.
This App sorts the problem.
Within 5 mins the watch was synced perfectly.
I genuinely remain utterly baffled how it works ! But it certainly does work.
It’s a STAR!
Tried the JJY simulator successfully last time, but failed this time. I waste two days trying several times for my two Citizen watches and eventually buy Clock Wave. It works immediately for both watches.
My watches are Japanese signal only, so I select jjy station and manually select watch zone “+9”. I should have bought this app from the first beginning.❤️
Works
Tried this app after having no joy with JJY Simulator. App worked first time without using headphones. I have a Japanese Citizen import so had to set to the JJY station and select UTC +9 which confused me at first but other than that the app works perfectly.
Thanks !
Truly works!!
I’m in canary Islands wich out of range of any atomic clocks, I tried to sync my watch even at top of Teide volcano with no luck, decided to have a go on the app and voila on second attempt it was done, Just brilliant!!
100% Recommended!!!
Fantastically useful
There is something to be said for a perfectly set watch, and this app has come in handy for while while on holiday in Cancun.
Being on the edge of the Multiband 6 signal map, over the last week and a half I had yet to receive a signal. After a bit of Googling I found this app and it worked straight away. 10/10.
Works fine, need to be patient.
Managed to sync my g-shock after a couple of attempts. It seems that the signal is not super powerful so you need to find the sweet spot. At the end it worked and thats all it matters.
