Tone generator

Was great, now useless because the ads lock it up.

Recent advertising changes makes it next to useless and potentially damaging depending on what you’re playing the tone through. I used to use this over Bluetooth to find rattles in cars but now adverts force you to keep tones running longer than necessary it’s pretty horrible to use.

You have to use a slider to set the tone. This means it is not possible to set an exact frequency unless you want to spend ages fiddling with damn thing

This is one of those apps that you are unlikely to need on a daily or even monthly basis but is just so handy to have on tap on your phone when you do need it. Although I have had the app for at least a year, I didn’t actually know how accurate it was, so I have just run a check against A440 and 1000 herz tone from a couple of youtube items and it was a perfect match, by ear, with no beat frequency. Great for checking your hearing and being amazed how high your grandchildren can hear.

This is a very good app but it could do with a volume slider to compare the volume at which different frequencies can be heard by different people or different ears.

Good app. Does more than the others and allows export of files. Got a few bugs though.

Gives a greater sensitivity than most apps allowing you to select pretty close to what you want, would be nice if you could type what frequency you want but still pretty good

On my iPad it fails to generate any tones

It stopped generating tones - something of a drawback - so I uninstalled it. Good luck.
