Sync Radio Controlled Watch

Description

I have a Casio G-Series radio watch, but it is always unable to receive radio waves from time signal station, so I started to write an application to solve this problem.
After some research, I finally wrote this application, which can perfectly simulate the timing signal and happily calibrate the time.
Usage method:
1. Adjust the volume of iPhone / iPad to the maximum.
2. Switch the radio controlled watch / clock to manual wave receiving mode.
3. Click the "start" button.
4. Place the watch / clock near the iPhone / iPad speakers.
5. The synchronization process generally takes 3-10 minutes, please wait patiently.
Matters needing attention:
1. Please try to use the software in a quiet environment to avoid signal interference.
2. The volume of the mobile phone must be adjusted to the maximum. It's too small and the effect is not good.
Characteristic:
1. Supports simulation of all types of Time Wave Signal:
* China BPC
* USA WWVB
* Japan JJY40 / JJY60
* Germany DCF77
* British MSF
2. The unique "Beast Mode" provides higher frequency simulation signals and faster sync.

Radio Wave Sync Reviews

Works, with some fiddling

Dvd_bruggen on

It was hard to get success, I finally managed by positioning the watch underneath the phone, so that the speaker area is resting on the 12 o’clock position of my gshock GW-M5610U, and the 6 o’clock position is resting on the table. The top of the phone was resting on the table and the bottom part with the speakers was resting on the watch 12 o’clock position, with the watch face outward.

Never worked

I’ve tried using this app with all 5 of my GShocks with MB6 and it has never worked once, even in “beast mode”. The RC receiver in the watches always errors out.

It work and a small wish list

It works great and does change a clock purchased in Japan and used in the US. Could there be a way added for a time zone offset. In the above example it would allow me to not just show Japanese standard time but O could shift to show my local time in the US while using the Japanese radio signal? Possible?

Does not work

Casio watch says no signal

I don’t understand how the heck this works but it does!

Amazing! Used to sync my Citizen atomic timekeeping watch without any issues. Although it did take about 30-40 mins. Re title: It obviously uses the radio antenna inside the phone to tx the signal somehow. But what’s unclear is how the app is interfacing with the antenna to do this. Usually you need an SDR to tx and rx radio signals, and this is the only app on the App Store I can seem to find that can use the phones antenna to tx things. Now if only there were an app that allows you to tx anything at any frequency… oh the fun you could have! Would gladly pay for such an app if the developer wants to make it. :) Either way 5/5

Great app

It brings my citizen back to accurate, so great

It works if the audio doesn’t cut out.

Not sure if it is just my phone, but it seems like the ad bar in the app silences the audio.

Does Not Work.

App does not live up to billing. Been trying for days to sync my Rangeman watch and have not been successful. Moved to different locations in my house and outside with no success. Heard of app and gave it a try. Tried 10 different times and locations to no avail. Broke down and tried the other app (the $1.99 one). Low and behold my watch synced on first try. Get the other app as this one is not good..

Shows ads in Chinese even after purchasing

realhuman265 on

Even after purchasing, every time you open the app, open the settings within the app, or go to the help section within the app, you are forced to watch a 5s ad for something in Chinese. So if you're thinking about supporting the developer and getting a nicer app experience in return, forget about it. Disgusting choice made by the developer, feels super rotten and I'm definitely disputing the app purchase for a refund. Buyer beware.
