Abacus Lesson Reviews

This abacus works.

I do not have a real abacus yet, so I was excited to start practicing. It had been mentioned that there is really no point in practicing with an app because it wasn’t the same experience as a real abacus. However, I have found that I can practice using the correct thumb and finger motions quite well using this app. The one criticism is the presentation of the addition questions was a bit confusing. It took me a while to understand the arithmetic question was asking to both subtract and add three numbers since there was no addition signs. It might make more sense to write out the actual equation. For example, 5 - 3 + 2 = instead of stacking the numbers vertically. Thanks for allowing me to give feed back.
