Description
高血壓是指血壓持續處於高水平的一種慢性疾病。血壓是當心臟收縮，將血液泵入動脈時所加諸動脈血管壁的壓力。我們需要維持正常的血壓，推動血液在體內運行，把氧氣和營養輸送到身體各組織。然而，如果血壓上升並持續處於高水平，便可能會引致嚴重的健康問題，包括中風、冠心病及心臟衰竭、慢性腎病甚至是早逝。血壓度數以兩組數字表達，首個數字（收縮壓／上壓）顯示心臟收縮泵出血液時血管內的壓力，而第二個或寫於下方的數字（舒張壓／下壓）則表示在心跳之間，心臟放鬆時血管內的壓力。
