Very good service
You have no idea of the meaning of a chime.
Bought the upgrade. Does not work at all.
When the hour comes the voice doesn’t come through the blue tooth but if I physically push the place alongside the on and off settings we hear it through the phones speaker
good news, worked straight out of the box bad news only hourly, no half of quarter only voice announcing time, no chimes or bells if that's all you need, ok
I’m writing this in February 2025. Would like the ability to add half hour reminders in addition to what’s already possible. Other than that, the app is great!
The app works to remind you to do something on an hourly basis. It is important when you are less active to have a trigger to do a stand hourly. This works very effectively on the iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch.
Ads aside, which are on the rare occasion you actually have to re-open the app and adjust your chimes or something, the app’s been really useful; audible indicator of the hour. For anybody who’s a little time blind or just finds themselves hyper-focussed for too-long this works wonders.
So many apps try to do EVERYTHING and it can feel overwhelming. Hourly Chime has a single function: it tells you the time on the hour. Customization is limited to which hours you want called out, but I’m happy to keep it simple so long as it works! I really appreciate that voice in the background keeping me aware of time passing when I get too focused on a task. I realized just how much I’ve come to rely on it when it stopped working after a major iOS update. It took me a few days to become aware that I hadn’t been hearing the Hourly Chime (since it’s not an intrusive sound and requires no action on my part), but my brain sure noticed it was missing because I felt totally disconnected from time passing. (They got it working in short order.)
Add a feature where you can label your alarms. Otherwise decent app but for what you get too many ads…
