◆ 护士执业资格考试是为贯彻国家人事部、卫生部《关于加强卫生专业技术职务评聘工作的通知》等相关文件的精神，于2001年开始正式实施的。卫生部负责组织实施护士执业资格考试。
◆ 国家护士执业资格考试是评价申请护士执业资格者是否具备执业所必须的护理专业知识与工作能力的考试。
◆ 具有护理、助产专业中专和大专学历的人员,参加护士执业资格考试并成绩合格,可取得护理初级(士)专业技术资格证书;护理初级(师)专业技术资格按照有关规定通过参加全国卫生专业技术资格考试取得。
◆ 具有护理、助产专业本科以上学历的人员,参加护士执业资格考试并成绩合格,可以取得护理初级(士)专业技术资格证书;在达到《卫生技术人员职务试行条例》规定的护师专业技术职务任职资格年限后,可直接聘任护师专业技术职务。
