Are you deaf and tired of lipreading? Even the best lipreaders follow ~22% of their conversations - imagine what you're missing out on.
MyEar App was developed by Gerald Isobe, deaf hall-of-fame golfer and his son, Brandon.
Gerald grew up lipreading but became frustrated with understanding only 30% of what was being said and tired of asking people around him "what are you talking about?"
This app was created from those frustrations and it's an app he and others are using to communicate with their hearing colleagues, friends, and family.

I just used MyEar on my iPad for informal family conversations. MyEar changed voice to text in real time. It was better than lipreading and reading the text on my iPad during our conversation was more accurate. MyEar is a life changing app for me and my family. I highly recommend using MyEar app on your iPad or IPhone..

Won’t be able to use MyEar after iOS updates?
I don’t know why , I love using it ever since it really helps me because I’m deaf. But lately as of recent iOS update for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and the latest iOS updated I tried open the MyEar app but it keeps shutting close. It won’t work. I don’t know why
MyEar app
They typed profanity words. Not too impressed with their work. Poor professional rotational staff with lack of integrity and respect among the MyEar customers. Seeking reliable services elsewhere!!
Brilliant
Brandon, I just have to say .....you are a genius! My 92 year old mom has been hard of hearing for 30 plus years. The last 2-3 really bad(she doesn’t like the deaf word though) Her lip reading skills are not like they use to be. We have tried the hearing helper app, but it is no where as efficient as your is. We have tried writing tablets, use a lot of hand gestures, but as you know so frustrating. The reason I found your app tonight, was my Mom was quite pitiful as she came into the kitchen area where me and my sister were talking..and said...”I am so tired of not being able to be in a conversation with anybody, the two of you just don’t understand what it is like not to be able to hear and have conversations”. It was then I realized, have I just been complacent with what we had that I wasn’t searching for help anymore. So, I decided to search again....entered talk to text device for the deaf...and up your app came(okay maybe the the 4 th or 5 th thing on page). Anyway, I read the first review and downloaded it, tried it with mom and omg it picked up my every word and yes I could even change the font size and I can point the screen to hear as I am talking. I have the happy dance going on!!!
Only works in a quiet setting with a deep voice.
With covid and masks, unable to lip read. Sadly this doesn’t work very well. It does not pick up people talking. Especially women’s voices if at all . Not good in a public setting, sadly.
Very disappointed
I used this in a classroom setting, I was up from 6’ from the speaker and it failed miserably. If it managed to pick anything up the transcription was inaccurate.
I borrowed an android phone and google live got it 95% correct.
Not working
Really wanted this app to work. It always opens “text to speak”. I need help hearing what others are saying, not in helping me speak. It has been frustrating at best. When I finally get it to work, the opportunity I had has typically passed. I’d like my money back.
Great Ap for assisting people that can’t hear Like medical personnel
This is a very helpful app for any medical personnel that need to communicate to someone deaf. The fonts are large And easy to read.
Accurate
I am deaf. I have used several voice to text programs. My Ear is the best one that I have found. It’s accurate and easy to use.
