Description
宁夏博物馆位于银川市金凤区人民广场东街6号，属国家一级博物馆。1959年成立，1973年迁入国家级文物保护单位承天寺院内。2008年新馆建成，总建筑面积30258平方米，全高21.2米，共四层。整个建筑优雅、简洁、均衡、沉稳，荣获“中国建筑质量工程最高奖——鲁班奖”。
宁夏博物馆现馆藏文物五万多件。其中三级以上珍贵文物四千余件，经鉴定确认的国家一级文物159件, 鎏金铜牛、胡旋舞石刻墓门、力士志文支座被鉴定为国宝级文物。
宁夏博物馆展览面积1万平方米，现有《朔色长天——宁夏通史》、《红旗漫卷——宁夏革命文物陈列》、《石刻史书——宁夏岩画》三个基本陈列展，互为补充，交相辉映，多层次、多角度地反映了宁夏的历史文化和民族地方特色。
