Fun and useful, great design
I’ve been using various timers both digital and physical for pomodoro sessions for years now. Focus Pomo is the best! It rocks because: • it is *simple* - no over complicated and anxiety inducing “statistics”, just adorable tomatoes that roll around the screen • the visual design is calming and the sounds, even in the free version, are excellent - clear, pleasant, and audible over other things (like music) without being offensive. The included ambient rain is a perfect loop and very high quality audio. • swiping up down left or right to get to settings changes is clever - leaves the interface all clear. • orange colour theme is excellent. • tomatoes are encouraging as are the occasional notes written in the app. There are only two things I wish it would do, that I sometimes use other apps (session, time timer) for: • have a visual timer as an option instead of just numbers - for those of use who are time blind, this would be so helpful • have a persistent alarm option after sessions and or breaks - if I get stuck in hyperfocus I can keep working for three hours after the first session without realising it. It is possible either of these may be in the paid version which I have not tried
