Shogi Live

It’s the only easily accessible way I know of to watch Shogi games. Unfortunately, I can’t read Japanese so I’m not able to understand the comments for the moves which is a bummer but it’s still nice to watch how the professionals play!

Great App. If you could provide Game Commentary in English, I would GLADLY pay A LOT more money for the monthly subscription. AND, you would precipitate an avalanche of Shogi interest in the West. Guaranteed!

This app is really cool, and worth the $5/month subscription to stay up to date with all the shogi professional games. But one thing that is missing is a Google translate option to automatically translate the commentary to English or other languages, like on the Japanese Shogi Association website. The biggest thing missing as an American who's into shogi isn't how to navigate the app, it's that most information is presented in Japanese well beyond my ability.

This is a decent app. It says free, but in order to make use of its main feature, you must pay a subscription which is very reasonable, only about a dollar a month. It is easy to go through games, but I would suggest that there be a way to move pieces freely in order to follow the analysis and variations more easily. It would also be good to be able to export the game score and notes so that you can also use it on a program like BCM Shogi so that you can add your own notes to it later on.

Even if you can't read Japanese (I can't), this app is a great buy for the archived kifus and the daily tsume problems, available on the go. The fact that you can watch games in real time is a nice extra, but I imagine most games start and finish while I'm asleep. Thank you to the JSA for putting this app on the English app store!

バージョンアップしてから先手の持ち駒が映らなくなった。早く直してください。

ずっと有料会員になっている数少ないアプリです。タイトル戦やトッププロの対局だけではなく、新鋭同士・ベテラン同士の予選など、ファンのツボを押さえて中継してくれているのがとてもうれしい。将棋ファンなら必携ではないでしょうか。 個人的には、AI評価や解説の表示/非表示を選択できるのがありがたいです。自分の頭で考えてみたいときは盤面だけ表示して、手の意味が分からなかったら解説を見て、分析的に見たいときはAI評価を参考にして……と使い分けています。テレビ中継だとそうはいかないので、ここはアプリならではの特長だと思います。 他の機能も使いやすいですね。ブログとかもちょくちょく見ちゃいます。残り時間表示も見やすいです。もちろん中継の内容も申し分ないです。 一個だけ難点を言うなら、お気に入り機能。好きな棋譜・解説がいっぱいあるので、100件なんてすぐに埋まってしまいます。なんとかなりませんか笑

システムが変わりすぎて困ります 満足していたら、勝手に改悪したりしています ユーザーの意向をキャッチしているのでしょうか

プロフィールの写真ではなく、対局姿の写真を使用してほしい。真剣勝負を観戦する気分が下がるので。改善されなければ解約します。

横画面表示に対応してほしい。 せめて、iPadの上下を逆にした時もきちんと表示できるようにしてほしい。 スタンドに置いた状態で充電しながら観戦できません。
