Best Danmaku
First off, thank you very very much for updating this for a newer phones. I was very sad that I couldn’t play this game for the longest time. I have Deathsmiles for the 360 which is one of my favourite games for the system. This version seems to be so much better, the smart phone version makes for multiple play Throughs and just all-around fun gameplay aspects. I highly recommend this game. Thanks Cave!

graphics are great, it's really cute/badass but i can't figure out how to save ;_;
Brilliantly fantastic.
Cave have done it again. Arcade mode is a blast to play just to try and get that new high score and unlike other Cave shooters here you pick your path and you can mix up the order you complete the stages to try and get an even better score. iPhone mode is a great RPG take on the Arcade mode, you don't level up but you do find items to improve your characters skills. Tons of fun to replay for high scores but Hard really is "hard" and you really need to rely on great items to help you beat it. If any comments or reviews mention crashing for iOS 5 the issue was fixed in an update.

normally a sim/rpg kinda person, but this game really surprised me. initially captivated by its cute anime icon, i found deathsmiles really fun, unique and easy to play. for both casual and hardcore players alike. definitely worth the price.
Incredible
Amazingly detailed, and incredibly intense. Deathsmiles is a must-have for shmup fans. And I'm glad to see that the IAP are not game-breaking. Each of the IAP items already have more powerful versions available as rare drops through the game (I have a bunch of them already).
One of a kind
A slick shooter with deep scoring mechanics, memorable boss battles, variable difficulty allows for tons of replay, candy colored bullet hell, and top notch AAA production design. If you are a shmup fan-- this is an incredible treat.
