Description
一九六六年，佛教克難慈濟功德會成立，農曆每個月二十四日舉行發放，初稱為「慈濟法會」。後因感念發心響應竹筒歲月、點滴捐助的大德， 上人打破「不趕經懺、不誦經」的原則，發願於靜思精舍每個月發放時誦一部《藥師經》，期勉眾人牢記藥師十二大願，並時時實踐自救救人、自度度人的宏願，後改稱為「藥師法會」，這是慈濟與「藥師法會」的因緣。
