中国工业工程师联盟（China Industrial Engineer Union，简称CIEU），于2009年始创于广东，是由一群长期从事工业工程工作，并对工业工程具有高度信仰的工业工程师联合发起创办，其成立的目的在于为国内工业工程从业及爱好者提供一个交流、分享、互助及学习的平台，推动工业工程改善的普及应用，为中国的企业及社会创造价值。
工业工程起源于20世纪初的美国，它以现代工业化生产为背景，在发达国家得到了广泛应用。现代工业工程是以大规模工业生产及社会经济系统为研究对象，在制造工程学、管理科学和系统工程学等学科基础上逐步形成和发展起来的一门交叉的工程学科。它是将人、设备、物料、信息和环境等生产系统要素进行优化配置，对工业等生产过程进行系统规划、设计、评价与创新，从而提高工业生产率和社会经济效益专门化的综合技术。
从事着工业工程思想与技术推动应用的人群，都可统称为工业工程师。工业工程师只有通过不断的加强自身的能量储备，才有更多的机会看准企业的问题，研究并制定出合理的方案，顺利推动改善项目的实施，并达到应有的期望绩效。解决工业工程师能量不足的问题，也是中国工业工程师联盟创立的核心目的之一。
