The game begins with the main character, a cat, who embarks to Rain City to find his sister. The story is both bizarre and exciting making players get lost in a mushroom field, search for a secret passage, and run experiments in a laboratory. The reason rain continues in Rain City is uncovered when players find his missing sister...
Players control the main character to look for his sister in the city. The story moves along while meeting various characters, gathering information, solving puzzles, and clearing minigames. There are elements that test skills including memory and observation, and the many items that appear add to its appeal to the game.
The picture book-like graphics and story about animals who live like humans will draw you in to the world of Rain City.

Dialogue noise
The sound of the dialogue, that you have no ability to skip, is unbearable. It’s such a cute looking game and the atmospheric sounds are lovely then this sinister attacking noise accompanies the loading script. I couldn’t find a menu to turn it off I just can’t tolerate the noise to play the game. ISOLAND series the dialogue has a cute chipmunk sound which is charming, why then turn to this metallic clanging sound byte? I wish this could be turned off so I can enjoy the game please tell me how to do this. Many thanks for your creativity and charm otherwise
I really liked this!
I had no problems re movement or glitches? Apart from when I thought I couldn’t go down a certain stairwell and realised I was going down the wrong one! Really enjoyed it, been looking for a new cute but challenging game like this! Will definitely look into more after the reviews mentioned them
Wanted to love this game, but it’s still so buggy
I’ve started the game several times, and each time I get to a point where something should happen (get given bunny ears, pick up a seal for a pipe) and some play-throughs it works, some it doesn’t. So, no ears, no progression, back to start, rinse and repeat. Which is a shame, because it is charming and intriguing, but not so much I’m willing to start over so randomly. I’d happily pay more for an app that works…
Pretty but frustrating
Controls are awful
Truly Epic
Got this when it was first released because I love this developer and have everything they have done, Mr Pumpkin 2 probably being my all time favourite to date. Couldn’t really get on with it and lost interest quickly.
Recently I came back to it (This seems to be becoming a pattern for me now) and instantly solved a couple of puzzles and after about half hour found myself outside the apartment which is when it really begins properly, that was when I was hooked.
This is actually quite long and great value for money but simply because it was so awesome I just really didn’t want it to finish….if games of this quality were released daily I honestly wouldn’t go out (which probably isn’t healthy or wise) I would forget to eat and just be buried in my iPad because you totally lose yourself and as soon as you solve 1 puzzle you are dealing with the next one.
Struggled in the factory with the remote controlled car, I lost it under the sink and almost reset and started again but when I went in the room to the right the car was there, waiting for me…..so happy to see that.
If you like the other games from this developer I can’t see why you wouldn’t love this, give it a go and have patience at first because it is very slightly different to others for some reason I can’t quite work out. Truly hope there is a follow up and a Mr Pumpkin 3 around the corner 👏🏻👏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ok game but crazy controls
What’s with the controls? Can someone tell me how to get the cart to move out of the elevator? I just pick up the move symbol
Frustrating and disappointing
Got fed up with this game after just a few minutes of playing. It’s frustrating trying to move the character, doesn’t flow well and isn’t intuitive. Waste of money!
Good graphics but...
I found some of the puzzles too hard , like the one with the mushrooms, you need a pen and paper to remember the actual trail... I don’t like that. I’ve search online the walkthrough and personally I found little logic in this game. You have to point over and over again to get somewhere. Wasted my time with this one
Lovely game
Really enjoying this lovely game, another great from the cotton team!
I just don’t understand the reviews over the in game arcade game, lots of great point and clicks do this and I for one love the idea, this game was brilliant, great value for money, lovely story and characters, much better than most out there of the same price, it really made you think and got harder as it progressed, I would buy a sequel in a second......please stop griping people.
FRUSTRATING - TEDIOUS - AVOID
I gave up when the point and click logic descended into arcade games.
The very negative reviews online for this game are right.
It is super-frustrating, illogical and badly made.
