香港大學計算機科學系獲香港大學知識交流基金資助項目「香港鳥類在你手中」，與香港觀鳥會合作開發本流動應用程式 HKcBirds「香港常見鳥類」。
主要特點：

* 超過600幅於香港拍攝的珍貴照片
* 超過50種珍貴鳥鳴聲
* 以波形及頻譜圖顯示鳥鳴聲
* 無需網絡連接以查閱資料
* 支援繁體中文及英文
* 以鳥名、學名及別名稱快速搜尋雀鳥
* 以鳥種、生境、居留狀況、品種受到威脅的等級及鳥的大小自定篩選條件
* 以鳥名、鳥種、分類順序或學名排序
* 備有觀鳥小貼士及其他關於香港觀鳥的資料
