Accessory app for our USB hub dynamo charger with integrated APPCON 3000 powerbank.
The APPCON 3000 is absolutely necessary to use this app to the full extent.
With the APPCON 3000 from NC-17, the energy, supplied by the hub dynamo, is converted into USB-compliant DC voltage, temporarily stored in the integrated power bank, in order to then charge a smartphone, for example. And that even at very low driving speeds.
This NC-17 charging system is often used by cyclists who otherwise have no way of charging their smartphone for days on the road. The APPCON 3000 can also be used as a power bank away from the bike.
Turn your iPhone into a full-fledged and very accurate bike computer with diary, GPS tracking and fitness functions. All of your ridden tours are automatically recorded with the relevant data, such as speed, inclination, altitude, travel time, breaks and collected in the diary.
When using a Bluetooth pulse sensor, the heart rate data and the calories consumed for the tour are also recorded and saved in the diary.
The tour is recorded on the basis of the excellent Apple maps.
The determination of the bike computer data takes place with the help of the sensors in your iPhone and in the APPCON 3000. For example, the determination of the speed and distance data is more precise than GPS data, since this information is calculated from the "rotation of the hub dynamo". The information is therefore very precise. In addition, the display of the speed and route data is very dynamic, without delays, as is otherwise known from GPS data.
In addition, the charging status of the integrated power bank is also displayed in the app. You can also find the data of the charging power of the hub dynamo and the power delivered to your smartphone in the freely adjustable data fields of the app.

Of the 13 different fields on the display, 11 can be freely configured. This means that you can select 11 data from the data (parameter) list shown above and display them in any field.
You only have to touch the desired field on the display for 3 seconds, and the data list shown above opens, from which you can then scroll up and down to select the desired one.
In addition, the following information can be seen on other screen pages:
• Map data with current position, track log and navigation along an imported track.
• Diary entries with all tours that can be selected using a number of filter options. Filter by bike,
bydate, by region.
In addition, the APPCON 3000 and our AppConGT app support the display and recording of data from several different bikes.
The recording continues in the background even when your smartphone is in "sleep mode".
Our "Dark Mode" is new, which makes the display background dark. The "Dark Mode" saves valuable battery energy and is easier to read depending on the external brightness conditions.

Exportfunktionen fehlen...
zu meiner Anwendung: Als Langzeitradler war ich auf der Suche nach einem Gerät mit dem ich meine Akkus und das Handy laden kann. Dabei bin ich auf den Dynamo Harvester gestoßen. Bin selbst Mechatroniker, dadurch hat mich das Produkt an sich sehr schnell überzeugt und kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Hier geht es aber um die App „Be on bike“ und diese, wie soll ich es beschreiben, hat Potential nach oben.
Das Design der App ist Geschmacksache, könnte man definitive liebevoller gestalten. Die Funktionen an sich sind ok. Temperatur- und eine Höhenaufzeichnung mittels GPS & Barometer find ich klasse. Was mir jedoch extrem fehlt, und für mich als offline Radnomade sehr wichtig, sind die Exportfunktionen. Die Gpx-Files können nur via Email, Nachricht, (lt. Rücksprache mit Hersteller soll auch Dropbox gehen) oder AirDrop exportiert werden. Hierzu ist eine Internetverbindung notwendig, die ich bei meinen Radreisen nicht habe, somit muss ich auf eine andere App zurückgreifen, die dann wiederum keine Temperatur aufzeichnet.
Ich wünsche mir eine Möglichkeit die Daten in iTunes zu exportieren zu können, oder als File z.B. in Goodreader ablegen zu können. Einstellmöglichkeiten der Aufzeichnungsintervalle: Serienmässig macht die App alle 10 Meter einen Trackpunkt. Genauigkeit ist schön und gut, hat man jedoch tagelang keine Möglichkeit die Daten zu exportieren, wächst die Datenmenge unaufhaltsam schnell an. Hier würde eine Möglichkeit die Intervalle nach Zeit (z.B. alle 10 sek) oder Distanz (z.B. alle 50m) selbst bestimmen zu können Abhilfe schaffen.
Eine Füllstandsanzeige des internen Akkus im Harvester fehlt leider auch.
Da mir wichtige Funktionen fehlen ist diese App für mich Nutzlos. Schade eigentlich, aus dieser App könnte man sehr viel machen!!!
