Apps Gone Free & Daily Tips

I absolutely love this app and the new apps that it helps to discover. I love the fact I can get an app for free that I can always come back to and use when needed. I especially love their “newer” feature of sharing free in-app purchases (especially the lifetime membership ones)! The only downside I can see is it perpetuates the app addiction I already have of exploring and having too many apps that in all reality I don’t need. Haha

I’ve had and used this app from their beginning. Over the years I’ve been able to many amazing apps that would otherwise been out of reach for me! It has helped me with everything from everyday life skills, furthering my education, learning new skills, to even just some fun games I otherwise wouldn’t have ever used. It’s my daiky dose of bargain hunting dopamine!!

I am always excited to take a look see what the apps of the day are. I am not a big Apple user until I realized all the unique and fun apps are actually out there. I found fun calendars, motivational apps, mathematical games, financial apps and on most days you have a minimum of one app normally priced around $99-$149 along with 4 or 5 apps. It’s important to take the time and rate the apps. The app creators are very talented and take a risk when they go “free” with their products. Take the time to pay it back or forward. I have to do the same, I have only rated a few but I’m really into these apps and learning how they work. There was even an app to create and app.

I loved finding fun games—even though I’m pretty hopeless at making them work, despite being not stupid—photography apps, notes, writing—the gamut. Some make regular appearances, like the hobby train layouts, myriad calculators, and a new category—AI image generation. Generous developers offer lifetime premium versions, although I’ve noticed that some of them expire before the end of the day while other lifetime offers extend beyond the one day. So why am I dropping my review to 3 stars? With the proliferation of rental apps there’s been an equal, or faster decrease in the ones we can actually own. It didn't affect the apps offered until quite recently but there have been changes. I’ve been seeing fewer apps to purchase and more offering a month or 6 months “free trial,” and fewer offering the lifetime option.

I love this app because it introduces you to apps you never knew about before. Some are limited in the use while others are totally free with a lifetime membership. Great deals, great apps, whatever you find most of the time you get to keep. Well worth having.

Too many fake “free” apps that are just vehicles for ads and cost monthly. This is becoming an ad-driven list itself. Used to check daily now barely ever do.

AppAdvice used to be great and my go to app for finding apps that had gone free. Now it’s just apps that give 30 day free trials with Subscription fees. Seldom are there any real ‘free apps’ these days. Just a sad state of the App Store in general.
