APR Mobile is a simple yet powerful tool designed to enhance the APR tuning experience.
APR Mobile installs on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod and provides a wireless connection to the vehicle’s engine control unit or ECU. Once connected through APR’s required Bluetooth dongle and flashed with the required and compatible APR ECU Upgrade, APR Mobile can be used to access APR’s EMCS program switching features, read and clear fault codes and data log the ECU at high data rates. The app can also be used to access APR’s latest news articles, locate dealers in APR’s network and review previously saved data logging sessions.

Can’t even connect
I’ve tried so many times… with different methods.. still can’t connect. Total garbage
No longer Supported
This product is no longer supported by APR. A total waste of money and time. Avoid buying the dongle.
Warning, the apr dongle will not work if you bought it second hand.
Just to let anyone know who’s looking to buy an APR dongle be sure to get it brand new! A second hand one will not work for your car if it’s already been registered to another vehicle. Lesson learned for a newbie 😢. Hey APR maybe you should charge a small fee to unlock these for people that have been duped 🤣
Crashes and disconnects
I can’t seem to keep the dongle connected. If an app switches to foreground and I flip back to the APR app I can’t get it to reconnect to the car unless I turn off the car and unplug the dongle etc.. lots of trouble on the latest update with that. Also viewing logs causes lots of crashes and I can’t seem to load some historical logs in demo mode without crashing constantly.
Mine doesn’t work
I have it on my new RS7 and for some reason can’t get it to sink with my phone. Heard something about the app needs updating but who knows ...
Great add on
I have had mobile for 2/3 years. Its awesome for clearing fault codes and for diagnostics. I’m able to run the car, data log and send outputs to my shop from anywhere. Only issues I’ve had are related to have a few app updates that have impacted functionality. That said, the APR team has been super responsive and they have done a killer job with bug fixes and support.
App crashes
App doesn't work properly, crashes when reading the logs. Also, The interface could have been simplified in every aspect. Wouldn't recommend apr mobile instead of VCDS. Therefore, it raises the big question whether the ECU software is coded in the same careless way as this poor app, and should I expect engine failure soon ? Cheers
New update last week causing crash
APR Mobile is crashing when selecting engine code. Already emailed APR about this issue with no updates. Please APR get this fixed and I'll be happy to change rating again.
It has potential
Just bought the dongle for my APR tuned VW Golf R. Everything seems to work fine, except for reading fault codes... upon plugging in the dongle, I was alerted of “1 fault found”, but when I try to read the error, the app crashes. Any timeline on when this will be fixed?
