Aqua Temp Reviews

Terrible app

Worst version update on

Australia

This app should allow the user to manage the pool heat pump via my local WiFi. I can’t even turn the heater ON/OFF. It shows me the temperature for one session. It will not update the temp and I have to close off the app and restart it again to get an updated temperature. In addition, the timer is not working. A really S..t app.

Not good

hoges70 on

Australia

This app is extremely poor and works only occasionally. The latest update may have made it even worse. It is very difficult to set up, it does not keep you logged in, and it often fails to respond to the commands you give it. Overall, it remains an average experience at best.

The app (version 2.0.4) only allow Cooling.

It doesnt allow you to change to Heat or Auto. It comes up with the message "The current mode is cooling mode only and can not be set to other modes!"

Terrible App

It was an awful app to begin with then it is updated to an even worse UX. I absolutely hate this app but I have no other way to control my pool heater. I would give it no stars if I could.

Poorly written

Fattyboombastic on

This app is an example of something you pay $500 to develop on a freelancer website, rather than consider this is the primary method your customers interact with your product. Terrible, shoddy implementation. Onboarding completely broke due to the app not being able to determine my WiFi SSID, without telling me, or giving me the option to type it in manually. They just haven’t handled even the most basic of edge cases when developing it. English is not their first language. Additionally, the app requests “Always” (background) Location, which is strongly discouraged by Apple and against App Store rules unless it’s absolutely required. It doesn’t handle imprecise location permission (SSID discovery breaks as above). The user interface locks up and does networking on main thread (I’m surprised this even passed Apple review - another App Store policy broken). I doubt they’ll fix it but let’s see. Another hardware manufacturer that thinks software and daily user experience is an afterthought. Update: it also signs you out every 5 minutes 🤦‍♂️

Useless

This app has been updated end of 2024. It used to work & be reliable… Now it is harder to work & gives false temperature readings. Not even worthy of 1 Star!!!

Connection

Appauling App. If you are looking for a pool heater that you can control via the app do not bother. This is a very poor product. And the support is not much better.

Latest update looks good doesn’t work

KT1986KT on

Latest update looks great / but cannot turn on the heater remotely… throwing errors… not good!

Works

Atabah on

Australia

The app works. Allows to set temperature and times for the pool heater. Does the job and no major bugs. I couldnt find how to ask for support so ill ask it here. The cloud timer is 3 hours backwards for my location. Ie if i want the heater to start at 9 i have to set it up at 6 - probably needs some attention to programming timezones or such. Thanks

App Broken - Feb 2025

Update finally app has been fixed & functionality working again. Thank you. ——- I updated the Aqua Temp app yesterday 08.02.2025 and now it will not work with my spa heater. Please see attached video. I can access the spa pump and everything however does not let you remotely turn it on and off any more. The apps on and off button does not work. I believe your app has now got glitches in it and is definitely not working properly. I have deleted the app, removed the device re-added and it still will not working. This is a big issue for us as we need to be able to activate this remotely can you please advise how this will be fixed and when?
