The AR WiFi Map Scanner allows you to analyze the quality of your WiFi connection at your place by using augmented reality technology.
The application divides the space into points and measures the quality of the connection at these points. This technology shows you where your signal coverage is weak*. The application is designed to be easy to use by everyone. Your feedback is essential to us, so don't hesitate to contact us.
The app functionality is only available with a subscription.
*The signal quality may change over time.
Great idea in theory, but the results didn’t bear any relation to reality. Distribution of red-green over the scanned area appeared random and was never the same in any one location twice. At a minimum I was expecting to be able to identify access point locations by a blob of green, but nothing of the sort came out.
Very weak
Pings your router and gives a wiggly worm graph. Not worth the money.
Doesn’t do much
Except charge you for a subscription
Cannot use without providing payment details
This was advertised as having “in app purchases available“. However, you cannot use this app without providing payment details first.
AVOID!!!
AVOID!!!AVOID!!!AVOID!!!
Does not work without contract agreement. Deleted straight away!
Terrible
Can’t use without paying. Description says it’s free.
Stopped working
It worked once and then it just got stuck on the page to say move your phone, fortunately happened in trial so cancelled subscription.
Scam
Basically a scam you need to sign up to a billing agreement before you can use the app.
A Good Start but needs improvements before charging for this app!
The idea is great and seems to work until you loose Wi-Fi then you need to restart all over again! Needs option to continue on from previous scan otherwise this app which has real potential is rather pointless which is a real shame.
Hmm ..
Annoying to have to sign up for rental before use. But then mystified to see nothing but pings to gateway.I’d expected something that would enable a WiFi access point to be selected and tested. Disappointing. Thanks for listening.
