Bugs and virtually no customer service. Total letdown.
I needed to send money urgently to Nigeria for a funeral. The app refused to accept my MasterCard, when I tried to use another type card it would no longer let me get to the payment page. It kept bringing pop-ups asking me to send my bank statement for amounts over £749; I was only sending £488! I have also verified my account with them by supplying my details upon sign up. I was given a limit of £5000 and I have not sent anywhere close that amount. I called their number, it turns out to be an answering service with nobody to help. I then sent emails and raised an issue through the app. Eventually somebody got back to me but was unable to assist me apart from telling me to send my bank statement. I told him I was not sending close the £700 and should not have had the pop up in the first place, he agreed but couldn’t help. I then sent a screenshot to him and asked him to resolve it with their IT department; they don’t have one. I asked why they no longer accept MasterCard, he couldn’t explain. Then I requested to speak to his manager based on the urgency of the transfer. I never received any callback from said manager. The funeral is over and I was unable to send the money. It’s been a complete waste of time and total let down. I will now be moving on to other apps. Would not recommend ARB-remit to anyone unless you enjoy the headaches and disappointment that come with it.
