Great user friendly program would recommend to anyone
Don’t expect this to be free, it’s free to download but instantly has a paywall. Just be clear and charge for the app if you don’t actually have a free version.
I’ve been wanting to start working on a floor plan for a house that I hope to build in the near future. This seemed to have useful functions and free to download, so I decided to try it. Turns out you need to pay 15$/month for basic or 35$/month for pro to use any function of the app at all. Because I’m only using it for one personal project I refuse to pay either of those prices. When I tried clicking out through the app to back out next thing I knew I was in the program with the functions working. I noticed a small bar across the bottom stating “free trial expires in 14 days.” Right away I deleted my account and the app. I’m fairly tech savvy being a 27 year old and I’m telling you I denied paying for the program then it pretty much automatically enrolled me in a free trial which I assume would automatically charge my account after 14 days. Seems like a very slimy and sneaky way of business. If I were a professional using this everyday for business it seems promising with good tools, however for a personal project it seems far too expensive.
I am not a designer nor an architect or anyone who needs to use these sorts of software due to their profession. I was just a person who was looking for an app that could help me restructure my room. My room is a mess right now and I have a ton of furniture that are inefficiently positioned so I needed to make a change but just didn’t know how. I know nothing about designing a floor plan but boy did this app make it extremely easy for me. I needed to know if each type of furniture would fit in the spots I wanted it in and juggle with the structure and the app just made it so much easier for me to get creative. My room isn’t exactly a square shape because it has certain structural bumps(?) in each corner but that was no problem creating in the app. One thing that didn’t affect me but I think is worth mentioning would be the price of the app. I only needed this once, because restrucuring my room/house isn’t a regular thing so I did fine with the free trial, but the price does seem a bit too overpriced. Again, I don’t know anything about designing or architecturing so I wouldn’t know how much these types of apps normally cost, but even if I did, I’d be hesitant to keep using it just because of the price. All in all, I got everything I needed and I’m very satisfied with my new room. Thanks!
You can download the app, but once you open it it immediately tries to get you to pay or use a free trail.
I am a designer, and an estimator. ArcSite has officially solved the disconnect between infield measuring and CAD. I will be ecstatic to see ArcSite partner with PLOTT wheel To allow me to draw lines directly into ArcSite (much like Mausser) LMN Because you 2 were meant to be together, you compliment each other so well and please please let me know if I can assist you 2 on your first date. I’ll buy the drinks. LinkedIn Learning Because every serious design application should have 10 videos on Linked in Learning where people can go to find quick answers about the tools. Your target market are not only designers but they are people with zero design experience and they way to stop them from buying it for a month and discontinuing service is to give them Linked in Learning style. Your pen tool is fabulous, your bundles fabulous! Keep up the good work. Excited to be a part of ArcSite
I am not as good with computers as I use to be. I had to redo items and I kept inadvertently moving things that were set where I needed them.
Seems like it would be good to use, but it’s very difficulty to use. Just wanted to use it for a simple floor plan lay out and i ended up drawing it out on paper faster than, this app. Also they give you a 14 day free trial before you have to pay, had I known that in advance would have opted to just use another simple app. Just wanted something simple and quick. This is not simple and quick. That needs to be disclosed in your description. Don’t want it. And it’s very hard to cancel.
I truly love using this program but I only have 2 issues with it. 1- If it had an option to change the wall layout to be more like a blueprint that would make my life easier. Just have an option to change the style from a fully blank line to a studded wall layout. Maybe with a changeable spacing would be great 2- I would buy the estimate version but the jump in cost is massive. From $30 to $200 is a huge jump. Maybe if I understood why it is so high I would purchase it but currently I can’t justify spending that. Thank you had have a great weekend
