The ARDMS SKILLS App was designed to cultivate learning and assessment in ultrasound on an "easy to access" platform.
It engages the user with 10-question quizzes in ARDMS specialty areas and an explanation for the correct answer. For more information, please visit ARDMS.org/knowledge-confirmation.

ARDMS SKILLS FAQ
Is ARDMS SKILLS free?
Yes, ARDMS SKILLS is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is ARDMS SKILLS legit?
⚠️ The ARDMS SKILLS app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I haven’t had any new quizzes since the first quarter of this year (Jan. - Mar. 2023) for any of the five specialties in which I’m registered. A brief web search seems to suggest that quite a few other users have a similar issue, without an obvious/consistent solution.
The quizzes themselves weren’t so bad, although I remember working through them as being a bit slow and clunky. It’s just frustrating to be ‘required’ to complete something I can’t even access.
Unaccountability at its finest
ARDMS does absolutely nothing positive for Sonographers while taking our money every year. Now besides our required CME’s, we will have to do this crap too. How about you guys focus less on your greed, and more on how to PROTECT us and get us the pay we deserve! The responses here from the company are a joke and lack any accountability. Do better. To the sonographers contemplating downloading this app, don’t bother unless you want more to add to your already full workload. Ridiculous.
Sid RDCS
I am already displeased about having to be tethered to apple corporation my entire life because I have a banking app that has to be periodically updated and which means I don’t get to choose whether I want to participate in this great new world of technology. A place where I’m forced to I purchase a phone every two years and the prices are getting ridiculous. Now you want to seal the deal and tether me with additional required quizzes through an application. Think about what the long term implication of implementing this and forcing people to have to upgrade to the latest iOS whether they want to or not.
And not to mention the 30 hours that are already required. Don’t be like apple and Google and everybody else trying to get ahead by doing too much. Look at Facebook now. They are software developers ruining a once enjoyable experience because of over management.
Watch that movie with George Clooney “Up in the Air”, her great idea saves money but isn’t the right way for what they do as a business. Ask yourself, can we make everyone download an app as a requirement?
Terrible
I don’t know how you can try to make this mandatory when every time I try to use the app there’s something else wrong. I can’t even log in to see quizzes pertinent to my credentials. The page won’t even recognize my clicks. I can only view quizzes as a guest. Do better ARDMS.
Glitch?
I’ve been doing the quizzes and just realized I haven’t done one in awhile. I went to login and it said my “token” has expired and then went to a login page. I tried to click registrants but nothing happens. If the quizzes are required but the app isn’t working what happens? This is more stress than I need right now.
Ridiculous
Our 30 CME’s should be sufficient. I don’t know any other profession in the medical field that has to do this kind of thing. We went to school and put in our time. We work hard with not enough pay for tearing up our bodies and then get expected to test more. Give me a break!!!
Overkill
If this is going to be a requirement in ADDITION to the CMEs we already have to take it is complete overkill. I will not take another registry now. It isn’t fair to those of us with multiple registries to have to do so many quizzes. I will not be sitting for any more specialty exams if all it will do is add more to my workload. Thanks for nothing again ARDMS.
I love it
I love this APP. I can keep refreshing my knowledge. I wish it can give more questions and stay free.
A disgrace
I just took my first quiz and am disappointed that the organization that credentials sonographers has only ten questions to provide and got one wrong. Who is in charge of editing content? The mmode question where mitral regurgitation was the answer could not be more clearly mitral stenosis. I’m embarrassed for ARDMS and have less confidence in the organization.
Money hungry?
So you got slammed for trying to make us recertification . Now it looks like these are going to be mandatory? I study every three years to get my 30 CME and stay updated. Leave us alone.
