Humbling for ordinary players
I’m a USTA-rated 3.5 player. This app has a range that (apparently) allows it to assess performance up through the professional level. Therefore, because I am definitely far from pro level, I’m in the lowest tier of the possible data set: no matter how hard I hit, run, or play, my statistics tend to show that I did little more than stand around on the court for 90 minutes. I already get heart rate, steps, and movement info from my Apple Watch, so about the only useful numbers I get from this app is the distribution of percentages between overheads, backhands, and forehands. (And I’m sure that “overhead” must include serves.) I suppose the app does what it promises (so 4 stars; it works but is kind of clunky to set up for each session), but it’s not too helpful for me. BTW, it’s quite annoying that the data can’t be downloaded to my computer, but instead must be viewed a screen at a time on my phone…and it has to be paged through or scrolled to see the results from a single session.
