My favorite app for really learning and recognizing art by individual artists.
Currently, without museums and galleries open to explore, this is a great way to refresh my memory and to learn of many, many more artists!
Really love this app, there is a lot of available information and it’s a fun way to learn art history. Sometimes there is not information on artists, or very little. I wish that the pictures were higher resolution when you enlarge them so you could enjoy the details. I also wish there were more categories to play from. The artist of color and women artist sections are a nice start but could definitely use more content.
Having fun testing myself on my Knowledge of artworks. I enjoy that they have added information and other artworks by the artist and sometimes links to their website. I do find that in there graffiti section there’s a lot of missing information.
This is a great app to teach kids about art history all while having fun too! -Andrew Reck
Great if you like art. I love viewing and memorizing new pieces
Overall I love the app. I would like to see a feature that counts streaks of correct answers. 10 correct answers in a row equals 10 points, you get one wrong and you are back at 0 points. I think that data would be much more interesting for tracking success and for the leaderboard.
They need to add dimensions and mediums used on the info portion of each artist.
I really like this app, but it does leave something to be desired. I would at least like to bookmark artists or rather than read their bio, I’d like to see a work synopsis or statement. Maybe it could be a little of both?
I’m getting better and better at identifying pieces of art!
