Great writing and challenging gameplay
This game has an interesting story and decent graphics, but more importantly it has fun and challenging gameplay. Definitely what I’m looking for when I’m browsing the app store.

The story is great and the environment wonderful to play in, despite the quality of the game there are several issues with the fighting. Half the time my character’s damage does not register and periodically when my people counter the damage does not go through and my planning is left useless. I want this to be fixed, but in the end I understand this is a new game and it’s likely for there to be bugs.
I was really starting to enjoy this game when, after almost completing the first tournament, they hit you with a “the free trial is over, pay $10 to continue.” I was sorely disappointed with this. If you want the game to cost money, do it up front or at least inform the player from the start this is only a trial. Guess I should have read the reviews that said it costs $10. The game play is fun, the story is good, needs multiplayer (maybe that is after you pay), but with the cost I won’t be playing and am disappointed about the surprise. Good work on making a fun game though.
Single player story, turn-based card game where you play 1 unit card and 1 support card each turn. No pay to win. There is a free trial and after that its $10 as one time purchase. Must play for anyone who likes turn based card games there is only one tiny, minor issue with the UI being small for standard phones. Where button and letters are small sometimes. I recommend playing on IPad or something with bigger screen.
This gorgeously executed 2D tactics puzzle battle game is wickedly fun to play! The mechanics are straight-forward and easy to understand without sacrificing depth and challenge in the gameplay. The art, voice acting, and music are all very well-done and I especially appreciate the UI since it is simple and easy to navigate even though it is ported from PC. Bravo to the devs for putting out this amazing game!
Ash of Gods is back!!! Before this there was Ash of Gods Tactics on Mobile. Years ago the servers shut down and it was the best game of its type. Been playing this for a week now and This is basically Ash of Gods 2. And it’s free? This is one of the best Tactical Strategy / Deck Building games for mobile or in general honestly. It’s art style is one a kind. Reminiscent of Banner Saga. Imagine the banner saga style of unit movement gameplay mixed with A wide faction List of Unit Cards and Item (weapon, defense, offense) type cards. There is also Ash of Gods Redemption I saw on play store. It does cost around $10 but that’s totally worth it if you finish this game and want more. I’m not sure but I would assume since there is no multiplayer mode in this game like there was in Ash of Gods Tactics that There must be in redemption, as that was a fun way to play the game and may be why Redemption costs $10. This is one of the best tactical war games imo on Mobile. If you like Advance wars, Fire emblem or Elder scrolls Legends, Gwent TCG or real life war board games like “War chest” This is it. I’m Making my own Tactical War Table top board game based off the mechanics and style of Ash of Gods. With 4 factions of units and cards. A bunch of Item cards. And a Base mat to put your unit cards after playing them. They move just like the units do but are just the cards themselves with the unit printed large on the front and their Attack , HP and movement stats In the corners. Gonna call it “Legend of the blade”
Tried it today on iOS—stupendously impressed! Regarding buying… when you start playing the game, and like me… You have NOT completed the beginner tournament but you already know you want to buy the game, you recognize the quality and want to support, so you want to buy it right away to get on with it “lest you forget to do so later on” Well… the purchase game button is nowhere in the gameplay menus.. maybe after the beginner tournament? I’m not sure. Anyways.. maybe this was done on purpose to not put you off, they went to earn your purchase by allowing you to experience the beginner section without asking payment (foods on them if that’s so) But if you’re like me, to get to the purchase button (at least for me) I had to fully exit the game, relaunch the game and the purchase button is up top on the main screen. There’s that. What I love about this game is the quick addictive tactics, that imo magnificently works for mobile. It really surprised me mainly.. It does so *WITHOUT* all the excess UI interactions. You know.. those UI’s where you have to tap through like five separate screens and each screen… forces you to wait for an animation to play out before you can proceed? Yea.. that’s horrendous UI design, that does not respect your time. It’s meant to manipulate psychology keep em’ locked in, it’s wrong, anyways.. I’m an adult, my time is valuable! (Beyond a $10) This Game respects that, has none of that UI. Wastes no time & has no pay walls. Let’s me get on with it. The story is will done.. beautiful/ grim concept, excellent vision in the game design how the UX of the mechanics flow seamlessly. I just got after you beat the story, we can play without the story elements. Maybe there is an arena mode, I’m not sure. Anyways, that’s neither here, nor there. What’s matters for me, aside from what I mentioned above is the Vibes: Banner Saga, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy Tactics. Devs, Thanks for bringing this to iOS! Potential buyer, If you’re reading this… Check out their other game: Ash of Gods: Redemption (see YouTube reviews) you’ll see why it’s a premium purchase game well worth it’s at least for me - as always to each, their own. This developer in my eyes, from my experience from seeing this historical pattern.. This studio may end up a future CD Project Red, Darkest Dungeon Studio, Larian Studios - this is how they usually start out.. You play their games and each one you feel the passion and time commitment that went into
