The best way to find out about any social programs in your area is if your area has a 211 line. 211 is a catalogue of all services in your area, what you need to qualify, and how to apply or who to call for information. If you live in a large city, you probably have a 211. The best way to find out is to call 211 or go online and google 211 and your city name. I hope this helps in at least some small way.

Well I worked all my life I had my first job when I was 17 when my husband was in the military I am on Social Security now I worked on a US citizen I don’t understand please make me understand this how can people come into the United States and get help better than the people that lives in the United States and that was born in the United States and they get a little bit of a help I applied for food stamps I get $48 a month in food stamps and that’s it but these people that in a US citizen gets three $400 and they don’t even have kids I don’t understand this at all how does this even work I can’t lie because I feel guilty I guess cause I have a conscious I don’t know what to do how do you even handle this because they would look at you like you’re dumb anyways when you ask him why do they get more money than you do
