It doesn’t have words like car or pretzel. The signs are often different from what I learned in ASL class in college. I deleted this app. It’s easier to just google the word I want.

This app helps me fill in the many large gaps in my ASL vocabulary. I use it almost daily with young children who receive speech/language services and their parents. I’ve referred many parents and other professionals to the app, as well!
Easy to use would give a 5* if included popular phrases, but as a newly deaf person it has helped me more than I could say!
This is a great app. I cannot deny that. I would do 5 stars, but the quality of the video is very hard to see. It lags and skips. They are at a 480p. The signs need to redone (no, they are not incorrect) they just need to be at a higher quality. And more common phrases Such as: What’s up? What’s new? I am learning ASL for you. Long time no see. That’s very kind of you. I dare you. Your portion for today is $$$ You owe me $$$ I am a slow learner. Please help me. I need your help. Please follow me. Any questions? Any thoughts? Any idea? Anything hurting? The doctor is asking ... Do you like me? Do you love me? Other than that. They are good.
My wife and I love this app. We have been using it for several years now on the iPhone and the Dev Team keeps updating this app to keep it stable and working efficiently on every new iOS upgrade and new iPhones. Thank you! The UI is very simple and so user friendly; the videos are clear and effective. I like the slow motion feature. Only one suggestion: Please allow user to bookmark different signs as favorites or into different user created folders.
It’s hard to see clearly what she’s doing with her hand in some signs, and it would be much better if she’s positioned to do it from different angles and closer. I wish I’d purchased one of the other apps:(
Some of them don’t seem right and I don’t have someone who I can ask because im not around deaf or fluent asl people also she doesn’t have any facial expression which bothers me a lot. And there should be notes on some where it can mean different things depending on the face. Just a thought but it’s pretty good
Overall really great app! Has basically all words I need in the moment. Very accurate, although it could use a bit of an update on some words. The app design is also old, but it does everything I need it to do.
I look on your asl some wrong word! No perfect!
A good app. One major thing for me is that it doesn't explain similar signs—how they differ, or if they ARE the same and one can figure it out by context. For example I just looked up “day in and day out (everyday)” and it looks like another sign I’ve seen. Unfortunately I’m worried about doing it wrong. No one is here to help me move fwd.
