Given the cost of Astera lights, it’s astounding how terribly designed this app is. Not intuitive at all, and requires all kinds of wacky workarounds to achieve simple tasks like removing the amount of lights in a group. Really baffling how terrible this app is after spending several thousands of dollars on their lights.
This app is a waste of time. The only thing it is good at is making your job harder. Filled with bugs and intermittent connection problems. Address and configure your fixtures manually cause this ain’t it.
Designed by people who have no clue what lighting people need. Convoluted app with an atrocious, criptic interface which works sometimes and other times not. Somewhat related, pairing to Titan tubes using Asterabox can be easy or an abject failure. Solution?… try the exact same thing five more times… then maybe it will work?
This app isn’t great and is very frustrating. Take forever to connect with the lights and will disconnect from the wireless box randomly. Nothing seems to keep it connected enough to actually update or control the lights.
You cant just turn on the app and pick a color temperature. I know there is a way to do it. But it should just be simple.
As another had complained, the app constantly berates me to turn on Bluetooth even when I’m not running the app. Then when using the app, connectivity to an astera box will drop frequently. You must check the box to leave the screen on and never leave the app. If you do either, expect a long process of manually removing the Bluetooth device from IOS and adding it again from within the app. Tested on multiple devices, all with same response. Please fix!
The app is garbage and none of my bridges will bond….
Why does this app constantly notify me to turn on Bluetooth to connect to devices? Like every couple minutes when my screen is on and the app is not even running. Very annoying. Not all of us want our Bluetooth on constantly. Will uninstall because of this annoyance.
From the perspective of a Board Operator these fixtures are useful however the app isn’t. Other than an initial update to the art7/fixtures and pair to box and crmx link start a show the dates android tablet and app are long forgotten about until tube run into problems. Personally I try only use them through a console. Don’t get me started on the power boxes though🤦🏿♂️ can we get a display screen please?
