The App does not show any locations past Plano, TX. This cannot be right.
Every time I've rented the experience has always been OK, but since getting aquired by Audi the experience has gotten worse. Now I get an email telling me they're pulling out of New York. So my fellow NYers you can skip this service.
Simplicity is always important this was straightforward and very user friendly.
bought a Q5 and it came with free rental days. only problem is, not many dealerships support it and they’re not available at airports so there’s pretty much no way to actually use this service. oh and the days expire so it’s even more useless.
The service used to be great when I could rent from airports (they have since pulled out of airports) and drop off on sundays….you know….the day people usually want to drop off their cars.. why are companies this dumb at understanding how to make customers happy?
Rented with Silvercar multiple times and it was fantastic. Loved the app the experience and the cars. Audi bought them and completely destroyed all of the above. I have no idea why the service even exists anymore. They left most major markets. Don’t offer airport pickup anymore which was free. They will pickup and drop off the car but that will cost you at least $100. The commonly don’t have cars available or not the one you want. Pricing is high now. They turned what what a great driver of exposing people to their product and made it an experience that makes you not like Audi as a company. Honestly not sure who would even use this service anymore as it is now overpriced and inconvenient.
The Audi On Demand app is intuitive and easy to use. as in all things, there will always be iterative improvements over time, and this app will continue to get better with constructive feedback.
Tried to sign-up. The password I created didn’t work so I tried to reset my password. Followed link to webpage to reset but couldn’t. An “Token Error” failed the reset. No way to reach support. I’ve owned several Audi’s and wanted to rent them while traveling but this turned me off to the service.
Silvercar was among my favorite experience between 2018-2020 when I used them. As soon as they pulled out of airports, the service became useless. Not only do the locations make it a nonstarter for travel, but dealers are closed on sundays so return times aren’t available. You know Sunday, the day you return from a lot of trips. Even worse is the app being absurdly glitchy. I can understand them trying to cut some costs by handing operations to a dealer, but let’s be honest, dealers rarely deliver a good customer experience even when you’re paying them tens of thousands for a new car. Silvercar was a genuine perk and would’ve been a huge reason to continue owning an Audi, so it’s a shame to see this service become garbage
