Once the best, now hardly useful
The lack of support for DASH and HLS streams means Audials is now missing out on a significant number of streams. The UI has gotten much worse compared to five years ago or so. For example, the sleep timer and ban button are so close together that enabling the timer will often ban the station, too. For some reason the initial Favorites view is curtailed, so you need to press another button to view them all. Lastly, some bizarre country filtering was introduced that sometimes makes the app think I’m in the UK and remove all non-UK stations. This once was by far the best radio app out there, and a life saver when TuneIn decided its paid subscribers needed to pay extra to continue using the already paid for TuneIn app. Now it’s mediocre at best, easily bettered by fairly simple competitors like Broadcasts or myTuner.
