Audio Memos Pro

This used to be an excellent app. It is now more or less useless. I’m guessing the original developers or developer may have left and now it is full of bugs. I have reported these bags and unfortunately nothing has been done. When trying to record it will automatically stop halfway through or not start at all on auto start-up. This is very annoying. Sometimes you think you are recording any later to find out you have to repeat yourself and the recording did not even start. My advice would be to look elsewhere.

While I find this app to be a brilliant tool for recording my notes. BE VERY VERY CAUTIOUS of saving your recording at every chance you can DURING the recording process. I have lost some very important recordings during the saving moment when a call or message comes through and have to answer or respond to those. And once lost, it’s all gone forever. I’ve written to Imesart a few times to help retrieve the data but their technical department are absolutely clueless. It’s a waste of time asking for their guide. So take care and turn your notifications on mute and under any circumstances, don’t turn to another page on your phone until you have saved your recording.

I use it for recording meetings that I minute professionally, and it works well for me. I record the meeting and it automatically sends a copy in 30 min increments to my Dropbox (can make these changes in Settings) so I can listen to later and use for transcriptions. Excellent, I love this app!

Apple's native voice memos can't be played in the background- so it's impossible to type up recorded meeting minutes on your phone while listening to the recording. Now I can type up notes from recorded meetings even on a crowded train! The app also allows playback at different speeds - slow it down while typing relevant sections, speed it up through the less relevant parts of the meeting. The only thing I'd like to change is that the nudge-back feature isn't accurate in slow motion - it goes forward a bit first so you need to click it several times to go back a few seconds. Not a big deal but would like that fixed in a future version?

This used to be the best recorder app. It has good audio customisation options, including support for Bluetooth mics. However, it has been overtaken by other apps that offer similar features for less, especially by the many other recorder apps that have iCloud Drive and other cloud services supported. This app needs to be updated to support iCloud importing and exporting urgently. I requested this feature more than 6 months ago and have finally lost patience waiting for it. I am switching away from Audio Memos Pro until this much needed feature is included. I need to sync my files in iCloud Drive easily and this app has fallen far behind in this respect. Developers: please do better.

Does what it says on the tin. The support is very good.

This app is not worth of £6.99... If someone wish to use it as a voice recorder so I will definitely not recommend. Shame that I paid for it.

I thought this was a different more advanced offering from Audio Memos and I therefore paid the not insignificant fee of £6.99 only to discover that, apart from the icon, this is the same app!

This was a use full app until I upgraded my iPad to iOS 5 now stuff is not working. The most frustrating part it I have lost the functionality to wirelessly down load my files to my pc. I am concerned that no development has be done on this app since 2010. Please can the developers get there finger out and sort this app out. I would not buy this app until there has been an upgrade. Post iOS 5

I like this- it does what it says and simple to use. Only recently started but so far so good. It really helps keep a meeting fresh and I send the voice notes to my assistant and this in turn is kept as a record- no need to type up. Time saving and slick.
