I use both rondo 3 and sonnet devices. I can add them both in this app, but I can only change programs on whichever device was added to the app last. In order to modify the first device, I have to remove the second device. No small feat as it often takes several attempts to connect a new device. Spend some money and work on improving the app!
I really appreciate the user interface that allows you the flexibility and convenience in modifying your cochlear implant setting seamlessly. In addition, my favorite feature is the ability to “turn off” my cochlear implant by pressing the mute button in the monitoring mode. I don’t have to physically take it off! Now there is some feature I wish could be implemented in the app. For instance, I believe it will serve all the app users if the battery usage is showed on the app indicating low battery instead of beeping noise inside our cochlear implant. Growing up, that beeping noise always bothered me. That would be an extremely significant feature imho. Overall, excited for updates in the future! Keep it up! 💪
Will not allow me to connect to my Sonnet processor. Can’t do anything. Update: developer says Sonnet cannot connect to the app via Bluetooth Low Energy, but can do so via Audiolink. My response— no it can’t. I’ve tried multiple times and it says “Audio processor not configured for use with AudioKey 2.” Why market an app for use with Sonnet if it’s not compatible?
this is definitely the worst part of being deaf this app fails to connect 95% of the time i use it. its 2022 fix this simple bluetooth stuff not that hard
The app works, some of the time. Most of the time, though, it will not connect with the Rondo 3. Much better performance with Sonnet 2, but it’s lauded by Med-El as useful with both processors. Hardly.
I really love using this with audio steam for phone calls and streaming. However, i end up having to go through whole configuration process almost daily. It just can’t maintain the connection. Drives me batty. Then, sometimes it just absolutely won’t connect to the stream for a day to so. It suddenly works eventually, but I can’t make rhyme or reason out of why it works sometime and not others. I really need to be able to count on this.
Connectivity options need improvement. It took me many attempts to figure out how do a binaural Audiostream pairing and it’s balky. That included consulting the Facebook group. I know how to follow instructions.
I am a CI recipient and I’m currently having the same issue as the “mom of two boys” did two months ago.My phone is updated and restarted, as is the device. Edit: I am able to pair through the Bluetooth setting on my phone but the app can’t “find” my device.
I’m the father of a newly implanted young son (less than 1 year old). We have been really happy with all the physical devices and accessories MedEl has provided. They really do wonderful things. I would, however, like to see the wear/speech data broken down visually a bit more in the app through graphs/charts. Having an overall average displayed is great, but when you are fighting a young child to keep their processors on it would be helpful to see these numbers day by day. I know for me it would be encouraging to know we are making progress in keeping the processors on more than off.
