Audrey Grant’s Better Bridge

It doesn’t matter that her columns are interactive: Lessons are not presented as videos filmed in a classroom using only a real, physical whiteboard. This sends the strong message to potential players with learning disabilities, like me, that they are not welcome. Same for people who get overwhelmed with anything close to a PowerPoint presentation. Refusing the trial membership was easy when I saw how the free interactive columns were laid out because Audrey doesn’t understand that some of us have to be able to take our own notes and her format makes that impossible. Real teachers use physical whiteboards. When Audrey gets that through her thick skull — I tell it like it is — she might be able to save her game from dying. But I’m not holding my breath.

Love this app. I learn something every week (sometimes daily). Excellent practice routines!

If you are interested in learning or renewing how to play bridge, I think this app is a great product to help. From teaching the basics to patiently teaching basic strategy, I have progressed in my play. The app itself is basic, but Ms. Grant’s voice is that of a good teacher. Highly recommend.

This is a good way to learn the game of fridge with very clear, step-by-step, instructions, and ways to think about playing

I love working the lesson each morning with a cup of coffee and texting my bridge partners. I enjoy the bridge history of famous bridge players and the bidding lessons are excellent.
