Aura Frames

Simple and straightforward. But misses some basic functions leaving us frustrated and moving to other ways of showing the photos - we are not able to choose the starting point of the slide show. If we would like to see or show a particular event or date to a visitor or family member we cannot go to that spot and expect the frame to continue from there. If we have thousands of photos stored and look to show a recent trip photos that is not possible until the frame goes through all the photos upto that point - the resolution of the frame and brightness is very good and requires the viewer to sit at a distance to enjoy the photos. Unfortunately we need to tap on the frame to enable the audio for the videos. This needs to be enabled for remote - the auto add is the only way I can store in albums so that I can remove and add them depending on what I want to be displayed at various points in time. Unfortunately the when I remove and use “auto add” feature many photos and videos are not added in the slide show and I have to manually go to the photos and slide the button to add them. This means I cannot use this as a workaround to turn off and on selected albums - if we have a smart tv we can pretty much link Google photos or iCloud Photos to the TV and manage it instead of Aura. I do not see any significant advantage. - the product needs serious upgrade to be popular and be a complete solution

Cannot add photos to my frame as the app keeps crashing

Unable to connect to my home WiFi like many others are complaining about. Received as a Christmas present. What a waste, now I have to figure out how to return this useless trash.

The app works well for what has been built, but controls around permissions are lacking. Anyone added to an Aura frame essentially has administrator privileges . They can see all photos added to the frame, add other members, control the frame remotely, delete other members, etc. If some more controls around permissions were available, this would be a 5 ⭐️ app.

App closes everytime I try to open it and never stays open. Always crashing.

We're having an issue where new images don't appear in the app unless you close it and then open it again. And it's unfortunate that the new images don't appear on the frame automatically. Apparently you have to wait for the entire slideshow to cycle through to the end parentheses pictures are sorted by oldest picture first by default) and then shuffle play you just have to wait for them to randomly appear. Very confusing for my elderly mother that we got the thing for. Hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon.

Very disappointing app. I should be able to set all pictures to show the entire image vs being cropped poorly... The default behavior requires a user to click each picture to correct this significant deficiency. When I add a large album with 6000 pictures, this is not feasible. What a joke of an app, these basic functions should exist. Not to mention, I had to get the frame replaced as the original arrived with the mat damaged, I restored the frame and nothing is showing up. I would stay away from this product as the app is not up to basic expectations and their restore isn’t working….

I love this app! It is so easy and enjoyable to add photos to my frame and to my daughter’s frame. My daughter goes to school on the west coast and sharing photos is a great way to communicate with her. She really misses our dog and I send her photos of her this way often.

Pros: Clear picture Nice frame Can schedule on/off Easy to add photos Uses very little power Cons: No libraries No way to organize at all Only one on/off schedule time It is a wonderful device. But it is totally lacking in organization control. Seems a bit primitive in that respect. Major flaw.
