Unreliable Sequence Generator

Published by: Pagefall

Description

AUv3 Midi sequence generator which generates musical evolving sequences that you can further automate or modulate via midi.
A clever algorithm creates a musical sequence which is output as a midi signal which can be used to drive a software synthesiser or a hardware device. Various settings allow the sequence to be constrained to scales and chords, transposed on the fly and also allowed to gently mutate giving an evolving sequence.
All the controls can be modulated or automated via midi.
Needs a AU host like AUM and generates no sound on its own.
"My solution has been to make the equipment unreliable in various ways." - Brian Eno

Bad update.

Not seem to be working at all.

I bought this and Cality at the same time. Neither of them load up as choices in AUM or Audiobus. No contact information for developer (unless you have Twitter). I have asked for a refund.

Talking ‘bout my generation

Controls now much improved, and generation button now working well. Loads to like about this app, and more to come, hopefully. It would be a 5 star app if the dev added a way to tie notes together, producing sustained notes when allied with a guitar app such as GeoShred. Nic

Fun and worth developing

Unusable at the moment as the controls can’t be tweaked accurately or at all really. Such a shame. Great potential please update!

Works

Love it a great, easy to use, sequencer with randomness. Just what I was looking for and it fills the gap nicely.

Good, but needs more scales

It doesn’t have minor pentatonic, which is a pain. Still, this is a lovely little unit with great potential. The unreliability can spruce tracks up a bit.

Pretty decent app

For making generative ambient tracks. I use it somewhere in most mixes since I purchased it.

One of the most important midi generators in my workflow. You can get instant Brian Eno or Aphex Twin with this auv3 and any auv3 synth and bit mangler or GlitchCore, heck- audiomoderns free plugins with this and any synth is fundamental in my transitions. I love this app, and you will too.

Now works in AUM

EDIT: Works in AUM as expected after the latest patch. Very cute midi melody generator. Good degree of controllability. Fun Old: As in the title. Tried loading it in midi as well as audio channel in AUM but there is no option to select any midi destinations for that plugin.

Easiest of the 3

I love them all and maybe the poly is better but i get insane results from whatever limits this has. I pick a mono scale but then lil chord progressions per say in mono its my go to app for trying synths too.
