I think it’s great for grandparents and caregivers.
This app has been great for all stages/ages. From breast feeding tracking to illnesses and medicine and growth chart tracking. I love that I can go back and see history of anything I have added. It’s been so helpful for tracking medicine and symptoms from my child’s asthma. At one point when my dog was sick, I even used it to track his health and the special feedings he required at that time.
Doesn’t work with Siri or shortcuts
I've been using this to keep up with my kids since I had the first one in 2014. I thought it would be just for the early days with diapers and nursing and pumping but I've used it to track their weight, height, vaccines, illnesses (temps, medications given so their dad and I don't accidentally overdose, vomits, etc), dr visits, etc throughout grade school ages too (and plan to continue when my oldest starts middle school). I recommend it to all my new parent friends. It makes it easy to have all the vax stuff in one place when it's time to fill out forms for school and camp, too. And it makes it easier to report to Dr when they ask things like "when did symptoms start." It probably helps that I'm a nurse of 11 years so I'm used to chatting on my patients, this just feels like an extension of work. But then I don't have to trust my overfilled brain to remember stuff like when the last dose of something was. Highly recommend.
I love this app except for three things that I’d like to see improved: 1. The growth chart is hard to follow 2. Although it’s great that the sleep timer can be opened on multiple devices, I hate that saving the time on one doesn’t stop the timer on all devices. Sometimes we accidentally double up on the sleep because we both stop the timer and save it on our separate phones. 3. I wish the feeding timers had the same multiple device feature, but I can’t tell if my spouse’s phone is running a feeding timer until after it’s been saved. I’m also disappointed in the latest update in July 2024. I can no longer see red notifications on my phone Home Screen to indicate that a timer is running. Please bring it back
No analytics and overpriced.
This app has been great to keep track and make sure our baby is getting all he needs, we are starting to become sleep deprived and it helps to keep things organized. I just wished we could add google integration to tell our speakers to add items into the app.
Baby Connect was indispensable when I was a new mom. What I completely didn’t anticipate is that I’d still be using it regularly now that my child is 13. Whenever we go to the doctor, I log his height and weight. I track illness symptoms and medications. It’s been 100% glitch free all these years except a little hiccup yesterday which support quickly resolved. I don’t usually write reviews but now that I’m thinking about the massive value of this app, I want to share. Don’t hesitate to get it!! It is highly customizable and will serve you well as a parent of a child at any age, not just babies!
I must have downloaded at least 5 other apps before landing on this one. It has all the features I was looking for and in a simple layout that any exhausted parent with a newborn would need! Super helpful to communicate with my husband about what time she was last fed or had her diaper changed. Also, love the fact that you can add notes and messages. My daughter is struggling with eating right now so we need to keep close track of how much she eats. This app seriously has it all. We can just share the various graphs with the doctor and have exact amounts/averages already calculated for us! HOPING FOR SOME SMALL IMPROVEMENTS: Wish there was a “list” screen for each icon so it’s easier to quickly glance and see all the feedings or all the diapers rather than having to filter. It would be helpful if you could just scroll from one list to the next by swiping. Also, with the “filter” button… only the icons that I chose in my settings should show up because the list is way too long with every single icon available.
I can’t tell you how useful this app was for sharing duties with multiple caretakers (MIL, husband, me) it is surprisingly a LOT to ask of sleep-deprived adults for them to know when a newborn last woke up or took medication or ate (answer: she JUST ate… oh and she needs to eat again). This made us mindful of wake windows and confirmed our intuition that the baby just needs to go back to sleep. Once the baby was eating and sleeping on more of a schedule we mostly used the app for tracking medications (“what time did you give her Tylenol? 11pm or 1am? She’s cranky, I think she needs it again”) weight and length/ height. It’s a bit of money to pony up, but I felt it was worth it for the 6months we used for each newborn. I like that you can customize your Home Screen so the most relevant inputs are right where you want them. Yeah, I loved using this app.
