This used to be a really good wallpaper app with the only monetized thing being the pro option. It’s now heavily monetized with multiple purchase points and diminishing value for pro users. Lots of retread wallpapers and no real innovation or bang for your buck in years. This is a very average app which would’ve been deleted had I not paid for pro.

This app used to be the goat, unfortunately now its overtaken with crappy looking ai generated whatever. The ads before were just annoying, now being FORCED to watch an ad to download a wallpaper??? That’s where I draw the line. I have deleted the app now.

Dang I love this app. Such a good selection.

This is a must have wallpaper app for anyone who loves changing their wallpaper frequently. Hopefully the dark icon support is coming soon. Lastly I’m sure it takes a lot of time, I just wish we had wallpapers a bit more often. I swear there used to be more new ones showing up

High quality, fun, interesting, easy to save and get, you don’t need a + account to get great backgrounds, the free version is just as good with just a few ads. 10/10 OVERALL

I heard about this app after the whole other wallpaper app controversy, and decided to check it out. It offers great free ones, and paid options, which I did buy the pro for. It was a single one-time purchase and in my mind, worth it to have it go towards the app developers and its creators. It’s a reasonable cost that isn’t required for the app and there are some absolutely incredible wallpapers on here! Sometimes, I don’t want to go searching around the web to find wallpapers, having it in one spot is great!

Backdrops used to be THE app for wallpapers; I used it for years on Android. Unfortunately, it’s now been completely overtaken by AI wallpapers everywhere. You can thankfully still see the old, good ones. As far as I can tell, though, most of (if not all) of the new wallpapers over the last year have been AI-generated. This utilitarian philosophy of “the way the image was made does not matter as long as it serves its purpose” is a total letdown from an app that I genuinely enjoyed. It completely undermines their entire tagline “Original. Beautiful. Designs.” I cannot recommend.

I like the app but unfortunately sign in with Apple doesn’t work.

I always download this app whenever I am using an iPhone. I have used this app on android phones in the past and I can’t remember exactly why but, the experience isn’t the same. I think they make you pay to use the app or something, I don’t know. Regardless it is better on an iPhone.
