Missing a key feature
Having come over from Google, I used to use Bamboo all the time with my Inutous tablet. The iOS version is missing the “ignore finger” feature when using the apple pencil which sadly makes this app a pain to use on the IPad. Otherwise this would easily be the best app without question. Please fix this.
Old notebooks have the wrong aspect ratio and the app fits the wrong dimension by default, cutting content off the screen.
This should be the very best option on the market.
Amazing app
I really love this app, try it once and you will be in love with simplistic of it.Highly Recommend ....
Let down by one thing
There is so much to love about this app: the simplicity, notebook types and paper types, etc. But one thing really lets it down to the point that I am now mostly using other apps instead - the lack of palm rejection for Apple Pencil (it's late 2017, c'mon). I simply cannot write anything without my palm creating random little dots across the page. Please resolve this, otherwise I'm afraid you will lose a huge amount of customers.
A good app but needs work.
I really like this application, the tools are nice and I love having different notebooks for different topics.
There are a few problems that are keeping it from being a definite winner, though.
1) The palm rejection is not good. I am using an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and I am constantly having to clean up little dots that appear all over the page, even if I keep the pencil close to the screen. This is the most off putting problem. It is really killing the app for me.
2) Pressure sensitivity doesn't work. I feel like I am going to break the screen if I want to get any change in weight using any of the instruments. For a company that specialises in this type of technology I am very disappointed.
3) Tools don't remember their colour. This isn't as big of a deal but it's frustrating that the pen and highlighter not remember their colour. When I am making notes in a lecture it is annoying having to keep swapping colours when I need to highlight an important section.
4) You are unable to change the individual page type. I generally use lined paper for my note taking, however, there are times where it would be a lot more useful to use a grid or a blank page. I think that pages should be able to be changed individually on the fly.
5) You are unable to change the type of notebook that you are using after creating it. This isn't such a big deal, however, I purchased the writers pack and would like the option to change the style of the notebooks I have previously created and written in.
I really like a this application and it is one that I would invest money in (purchasing the other told and notebook types.) As it currently stands though, there are some issues holding me back from committing. Please address some of these shortcomings (at the least fix the palm rejection and pressure sensitivity.)
Fan tast ic !
Ok it is good ...
Well it's better than good ...
Have to say it's definitely excellent ...
A fantastically awesome brilliant amazing app!
See Liftgrift.blogspot.co.nz for my cartoons drawn with Bamboo Paper.
Great app
This is a great free app that makes it easy to create sketches. This app works really well if you use it with a Wacom intuos creative stylus, that way you get line weights passed on pressure.
My only complaint is that I can't change the size of the notebook.
Great
Easy great
Latest release rendered the app unusable
The latest release from early September unfortunately renders this previously great app unusable with my Wacom Cs-500P. Crashes when you tap on the colour selector, even "simple" things like browsing through the shop-pages for in app purchases kill the app completely.
This is on an iPad mini 2 with iOS 9.0.2
Not bad
However, how about a quick color slot plus a color wheel? Also, I know it might not be intended as a drawing app, but I'd still like some layers. That'd be awesome :D
Cool but
Cool ap, well designed just wish there were more colours available
