App will not specify the issue. Cannot connect even with every permission enabled. Frustrating.
Please add Bluetooth music playback capability in the next update.
I think this app gets a bad rap considering that the lights are less than half the price of other systems. My only complaints are the sliders for selection ( I wish you could type in the numbers) and it doesn’t seem to be able to save configurations from DIY mode for later use. That being said, I’m confused about reviews that state that the app can’t make solid colors (that’s probably a power issue with your install, wire in a power injection), that it can’t make patterns in DIY mode (it definitely can), and it can’t connect to Alexa. If you want to connect this to Alexa, you have to disconnect from the device and do it through your profile in the app, not in Alexa. If Alexa says the account is linked, but it didn’t prompt you with a sign in, you have to forget the skill and do it again. It’s not linked until you sign in. Finally, go back into the device and refresh the Wi-Fi connection and it links right up. Don’t depend on this app for things like timers. Use your home assistant. Alexa can turn on the lights at sunset and turn them off at sunrise. You can also command the lights to dim or turn on and off. A suggestion for a new feature would be to let Alexa set the lights according to saved configurations, which would be awesome. Overall, this is a decent app for the price of the hardware, and the hardware is awesome. I’m running 300 feet on 24v system that costs less than $300. Every other system was going to be north of $800 to get the job done.
The app connects and that’s where it ends. There’s no control over anything, the app is hard to use because it’s unclear how to use it. The manual is useless. Then good luck finding a tutorial for the one you use- there are numerous models.
Using the app to control LED string lights around house. Was able to watch a video on how to use the DIY function of the app. But if there are 170 something different presets why can I use only 10 different patterns when creating my own. The timer is a complete waste and doesn’t follow time. Will turn off about an hour after being on turn on at 2am and run most of the next day, instead of running 5pm to 12am. Claims to have over 16 million variations of colors but in presets there are maybe 20 different colors… come up with a better app for these lights PLEASE
It’s okay mostly however no instructions on how to use and does NOT work with Alexa like box and product description says. I was really hoping for that to work.
The app is not super intuitive, and some features do no work. A major one being the on/off timer
Please make it so you can save what you have done and so when you close the app it stays. Also make the numbers easier to put, like an actual number scroller. Also allow lots of saves. Some modes don’t work and make it easier to change the color, PLEASE READ THIS. THE LIGHTS ARE GOOD ITS JUST THE APP!🥲
Works better than the remote I guess. Some colors are not calibrated right with no way to fix, also needs a brightness slider.
