Originally from the Fujian province in southeast China, Chef Ting Lin grew up enjoying juicy pork, egg cream, and red bean bao. After starting his own family in America, Ting wanted to make baozi for his daughter, and began to consider how he could share the traditions and flavors of his childhood with all of his family and friends. Following years of research, including trips to China to learn different baozi styles, Ting developed his own bao menu using authentic dough and delicious fillings.
In 2017, Ting and co-founder Alex Wu established Bao'd Up, which now has four Austin locations in Mueller Aldrich, Sunset Valley, UT West Campus, and on Burnet Road. The popular fast casual eateries specialize in high quality Chinese comfort food, created with ease, accessibility, and freshness in mind.
The Bao’d Up menu offers signature baozi made in-house daily, authentic regional noodle dishes, delicious boba teas, and so much more. Bao’d Up is committed to sharing the familiar flavors of Chinese cuisine—while including a thoughtful variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options—and is on a mission to redefine Chinese takeout in the US.

This app was so easy to use to place an order! I loved that every menu item had a photo which helped with deciding what to order. The best part is the rewards you get for using and ordering through the app! Just for downloading and making an account you get 500 pts which is enough to get 3 baos! If you like to get rewarded for eating like me, you’ll love this app!

I haven’t had any issues ordering while using the app. It makes it really easy to pick the location, pick the menu items, and schedule a pickup. Plus the first time using it, they give you a credit! How awesome is that?

This app was easy to use and the functionality was superb. It was really easy to find a location closest to me, browse through the menu and set up a pick-up time and date! And the food was SO good too!

Love the idea of the rewards but it’s a lie

You can’t add payment just a white page. Store said it’s been like that.... and the store can’t find your account so you can’t use the rewards. It’s a big waste of time.

Can’t enter payment detail

Everything works great until you try to add a payment option. Restarted twice with no difference. Makes the app useless unfortunately!
